This was a refreshing and informative view of anger and how it can be used as a guide in our lives.

Would you listen to The Yiddish Policemen's Union again? Why?

Yes.

What other book might you compare The Yiddish Policemen's Union to and why?

A hard boiled detective novel like Dashiel Hammet or Raymond Chandler

What does Peter Riegert bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Fantastic voices. Peter's performance made the story extra special.

Any additional comments?

I'm a fan of Michael Chabon in general and this story might be my favorite so far. It's an old fashioned noir-type mystery set in the unlikeliest of places...Sitka, Alaska. Peter Riegert's narration compliments Chabon's attention to detail with the characters he creates. It's a fantastic listen.

Would you ever listen to anything by Brené Brown again?

Probably not.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narration was fine. The content was the problem.

Any additional comments?

I was hoping for more substance here but realized Ms. Brown is a researcher and not a psychologist. She tells stories from her life, which makes her a likeable person but I found this book dull, repetitive and it seemed to rehash themes from her other books. It just wasn't my cup of tea. I was looking for more psychology and less fluff.
