Historia
In the very depths of the human soul there is a darkness. It is an entity which most of us may never get to know; for others, however, this darkness grows for years until it takes hold of them and permeates every inch of their body. This darkness is evil incarnate, and it is in the hearts and minds of some of the most dangerous and despicable human beings to have walked this same earth we live in today. In the following volumes, you shall discover the stories of six murderers so tainted by darkness that their horrific accounts still bring fear to men and women of our present day.

If you are into true crime / serial killers.
Revisado: 06-03-19
This is a great compilation. I thought the part on Joseph Paul Franklin was especially interesting, due to the fact you don’t hear a lot about him. It’s a great grab bag of serial killers, and because it’s from Jack Rosewood you know it’s quality. Having bought a lot of books from audible I know how it feels to get a book and the book be terrible. It’s really disappointing, but Jack Rosewood is one of those authors that I know it will be worth it. Also, I don’t know if the author chooses the narrators, but the narrators for his books never are always top notch.

Historia
Early on a May morning in 1988, Laurie Dann, a 30-year-old, profoundly unhappy product of the wealthy North Shore suburb of Chicago, loaded her father's car with a cache of handguns, incendiary chemicals, and arsenic-laced food. Driven by fear and hate, she was going to make something terrible happen. Before the end of the day, Dann had blazed a murderous trail of poison, fire, and bullets through the unsuspecting town of Winnetka, Illinois, and other North Shore suburbs.

An interesting look into the life of a sad woman who needed help.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
Overall I found this book very entertaining. It is a very informative look into a tragic figure that desperately needed help but thwarted herself at every turn. If you love true crime books as I do. Then this book is a pretty good listen.

The Psychopath Test is a fascinating journey through the minds of madness. Jon Ronson's exploration of a potential hoax being played on the world's top neurologists takes him, unexpectedly, into the heart of the madness industry. An influential psychologist who is convinced that many important CEOs and politicians are, in fact, psychopaths teaches Ronson how to spot these high-flying individuals by looking out for little telltale verbal and nonverbal clues.

Good Story GREAT Narrator
Revisado: 05-12-18
I was given a copy of this book for free to review. The story was good, but to me it got a little slow when describing the town where the atrocities took place. Admittedly that’s probably because I grew up in a place very similar. So that part wasn’t as interesting to ME. I found the rest of the book incredibly entertaining though and highly recommend it. However, and I can’t say this enough. The narrator makes this book better. I have a few audiobooks narrated by him. And in every one I’ve listened to (most of them purchased) his style never disappoints.

Almost every year, we believe that nothing can top the abject horror of the last 12 months when it comes to true crime stories, homicides, execution-style murders, or serial killers that are still on the prowl, leaving behind a trail of blood, tears, and sorrow. Then, of course, the New Year begins.

Every year, we look back in horror at the sheer evil mankind is capable of, and 2017 was no different. I was given this book to review, and I liked it so much I bought the one about 2016. This book is a brief look at the memorable crimes from 2017, and some of the more interesting crimes you might not have heard of. It isn’t a deep in depth look into any of the crimes. I really enjoyed this book and the one from 2016.

Historia
The intrigue began with a triple homicide in a luxury apartment building just steps from the Champs-Elyseés, in March 1887. A high-class prostitute and two others, one of them a child, had been stabbed to death. Aaron Freundschuh's account of the "Pranzini Affair" recreates not just the intricacies of the investigation and the raucous courtroom trial, but also the jockeying for status among rival players who all stood to gain professional advantage and prestige.

Well researched look into the past.
Revisado: 01-27-18
"I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review."
This book is a well researched look into the past and a past murder. The author goes into great detail about the murder and the events surrounding the murder. The narrator has a really good level of emotion and was easy to listen to. Honestly the only flaw I found with this book is the amount of detail he goes into describing the area around where the murder took place (Paris), and as I am an ignorant American. I had a hard time picturing where he was talking about. However, for someone more cultured than myself that shouldn’t be an issue. Despite that, I still found this book incredibly entertaining, and would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Victorian era true crime / murder stories.

This book is amazing. It’s a great story, written very well. Sometimes the emotion in the narrators voice (since he’s the one who lived it) really gets to you. Definitely worth a listen.

Having suffered as a child myself. It warms my heart to hear about someone who came out the other side, and pieces their life back together. Everything about this book is amazing. But read the description. If ANYTHING mentioned is too difficult for you then this may not be the book for you.

Just like the title says. I really enjoyed most of this book. The last maybe hour of the book feels like it drags a little, but the rest of the book more than makes up for it.
