Historia
There was a time when the woods near Duva ate girls - or so the story goes. But it's just possible that the danger may be a little bit closer to home. This story is a companion folk tale to Leigh Bardugo's debut novel, Shadow and Bone.

Reminiscent of The Brothers Grimm

A very pleasant departure from the hours long works I usually listen to. Brings back memories of the Hansel and Gretel fairytale, but is a completely unique story in itself. So nice I listened twice.

The Best… so far that is.

I am loving this series and this episode really brings it all together. As Jason’s journey continues interesting new characters are introduced while we are frequently reminded of some of the most memorable persons we’ve met along the way.
This story about magical creatures and alternate universes is so well written that I’m starting to believe.

Historia
After Tova Sullivan’s husband died, she began working the night shift at the Sowell Bay Aquarium, mopping floors and tidying up. Keeping busy has always helped her cope, which she’s been doing since her eighteen-year-old son, Erik, mysteriously vanished on a boat in Puget Sound over thirty years ago. Tova becomes acquainted with curmudgeonly Marcellus, a giant Pacific octopus living at the aquarium. Marcellus knows more than anyone can imagine but wouldn’t dream of lifting one of his eight arms for his human captors—until he forms a remarkable friendship with Tova.

Exactly What’s Needed Right Now

Let this imaginative fairy tale renew your faith in humanity! Something like a murder mystery combined with the heartwarming bittersweetness of Old Yeller.

Very well done!

Not your typical dry slog. This novel is arranged well and explains not just what happened, but shows how the stage was set leading up to the event. This story may change your opinion of nuclear power…
Or not.

Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.
