Historia
A paradigm-shifting book in the vein of Sapiens that brings a crucial Indigenous perspective to historical and cultural issues of history, education, money, power, and sustainability - and offers a new template for living. As an indigenous person, Tyson Yunkaporta looks at global systems from a unique perspective, one tied to the natural and spiritual world. In considering how contemporary life diverges from the pattern of creation, he raises important questions. How does this affect us? How can we do things differently?

REQUIRED READING for every human on the planet
Revisado: 10-25-21
Tyson Yunkaporta's voice is soothing and wise and honest and brave.
He holds the knowledge of many ancient grandfathers and grandmothers inside of him.
And he generously shares many of those stories in this book.
ALL WE NEED TO DO IS LISTEN!

Historia
When Michael Pollan set out to research how LSD and psilocybin (the active ingredient in magic mushrooms) are being used to provide relief to people suffering from difficult-to-treat conditions such as depression, addiction, and anxiety, he did not intend to write what is undoubtedly his most personal book. But upon discovering how these remarkable substances are improving the lives not only of the mentally ill but also of healthy people coming to grips with the challenges of everyday life, he decided to explore the landscape of the mind in the first person as well as the third.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this advice...
Revisado: 08-02-18
I enjoy storytelling by smart, humble humans who take the time to share their great wisdom.
I've listened to every one of Brene's books and this one is quick & lovely.
If you are a parent, or if you have to parent yourself and are trying to sort out how to do it well-
read this book.
And, take notes.
Then, start practicing.
It will feel weird at first- but it makes complete sense and your kids will benefit immensely.
