Insight that I appreciated hearing.

I remember tweeting during some of the Golden State games about how awesome Iguodala was playing. I recall being reprimanded for calling him Iggy instead of Andre. Now I have much more awareness of what life is really like for these amazing basketball players. His career with Golden State did not stop in 2019. I hope that he can write a sequel that shares the same respect for his fellow players because that is one of the things that I appreciate the most when I watch the games. Seeing the athletes playing their fiercest on the court hug each other after the game is a welcome dose of reality.

There was surprise, hope, intrigue, mature issues, and excellent narration. It is not a book just for teens.

I can't take any more fake drama

I very much want to know what is written in this book, but I cannot tolerate the narrator. For such a well-known series, why did they hire such a jerk to read the book? It is very rare that I completely stop listening to anything, and I think this title now has that honor.

Loved the introduction with stones and then how they became a part of the story.

I’m a science person who enjoys fantasy books. Anything that can help teach me the mystic properties of rocks is a winner in my book. Of course the writing went way beyond that level of intrigue. Spoiler alert? If you get frustrated with feeling like you need to keep track of dates, know that part is not crucial to the storyline. If it is then I was oblivious without it having a negative impact upon me. I still found the book to be time well spent.

Nice review of my education and what I get to teach

I was a biology major, chemistry minor, and then earned a Masters in plant pathology. What have I done with the it? I chose to be a teacher. I now teach online so I get to “teach” a large variety of biology and chemistry courses. My students are 6-12th graders. I get to relearn all of the facts daily. It is amazing. Now I come across this book and it is a collection of everything I could ever hope to teach our kids. I may have to listen to it again just to make sure I recapture all that I was taught and much of what I still need to learn. I highly recommend the book for anyone who has an interest in anything science.

Excellent reader for an excellent book

I can’t believe that there is only one narrator because he is very good at keeping voices distinct. I highly recommend this book. Oh, I didn’t remember anything from book 1 and it did not matter. There is enough redundancy that you are not left feeling like an idiot for not remembering the first book.

Both male characters had the same voice.

The female narrator is excellent. The male narrator has a wonderful voice. The problem is that there is more than one male character, yet they all sound the same. I rely on voices changing so I can track what is going on. The epilogue came along and I was still waiting for the story to start.

The situation with the main character is brilliant! When I listen to it again, I might have to take notes to help me keep track of all of the characters.

I can’t believe only one person narrated this book. The voices were consistent and discernible. I may have to listen to it again to see what I missed. Was there foreshadowing?
