Well - it’s not what I expected but enjoyable

First - it’s a good story but if you are expecting P&P from Mrs. Bennet’s POV, this is not that. The story goes off book by a lot and I did find some of the titles given to characters (Lady Caroline - not accurate) to be annoying but since it wasn’t a true to the book story, I’ll try to get over it. It’s an enjoyable story just not what I expected of it.

History of actual magic as it relates to Harry Potter

I enjoyed listening to this book. I had two small issues with the presentation on Audible-
1) I wish there were pdf pictures to go with the narrations so I could refer to those as I listened but it is okay without them as I know enough about HP lore to stay interested.
2) I didn’t mind the different voices as much as others did, one male commentator had a voice that was a bit low and harder for me to hear so I had to keep turning the sound up and down.
These two things led to the four rather than five star ratings. I usually am able to give Audible books five stars for narrations, sound quality and such.
If you like world history, trivia and know the Harry Potter stories, this is an enjoyable listen!

Not your momma's P&P

The author has remade Pride and Prejudice for the modern world giving the Bennet family and company personalities and issues to deal with that mimic those in the original setting but with a modern spin. I could have done without the reality show premise but I did appreciate the modernization twist. Be warned that if you like a chaste Litzy and restrained Darcy this may not be the book for you. I'm glad I gave it a chance since I've now listened multiple times.

This is a good listen. I enjoyed both the author's work and the narrator. Great side characters as well. I wish Ms Reynolds would tackle Persuasion, do a story from Bingley's POV, etc... Write more! :)

I liked Darcy's Noble Connections more but it was diverting and I do like Richard Fitzwilliam when he shows up in the PP books. Do not care for this narrator.
