Historia
Intellectuals and Race is a radical book in the original sense - one that goes to the root of the problem. The role of intellectuals in racial strife is explored in an international context that puts the American experience in a wholly new light. The book explores the incentives, the visions, and the rationales that drive intellectuals at the highest levels to conclusions that have often turned out to be counterproductive and even disastrous, not only for particular racial or ethnic groups but for societies as a whole.

Apologist for the Bell Curve
Revisado: 01-09-22
A better title for this book would be “How to hide your intellectual dishonesty regarding race behind out-of-context statistics”.
The only reason to read this book is to prepare for the insipid arguments used by latent racists to justify themselves.

Historia
This illuminating study explores the ways in which the shattering defeat of the Japanese in World War II, followed by over six years of American military occupation, affected every level of Japanese society. The author describes the countless ways in which the Japanese met the challenge of "starting over", from top-level manipulations concerning the fate of Emperor Hirohito to the hopes, fears, and activities of ordinary men and women in every walk of life.

Very poor narration
Revisado: 05-28-19
The material is extremely interesting. In fact, fascinating. The level of detail and research is commendable. However, the narration leaves a lot to be desired. If I could I would return the audio book and purchase a hard copy instead.
