I loved the story and would recommend it
Revisado: 10-28-22
I loved the story and would recommend it! I had read the negative reviews so didn't know what to expect. I guess we are all looking for different things in a novel, but I enjoyed the story and had no issues with the way it unfolded.

Loved the writing and the narration
Revisado: 06-25-17
I loved the writing and the narration. It is the second of her books I have read and I will be getting more. I loved the way she twined the stories and was very pleased that she didn't choose to leave Mary's story where her diary had ended.
I was very surprised by the comments about the narration. It hadn't occurred to me that the accents and expression I found so helpful was annoying to some. We should always listen to a sample, I guess as we all appreciate different types of voices.

This rating is only based on the narration
Revisado: 05-07-15
This rating is only based on the narration. I will have to get a version with a more subtle voice. I really couldn't listen to more than an hour of this one. I love George Eliot and hope to enjoy a different version.
