So when handsome ex-Pinkerton Griffin Flaherty approaches him to translate a mysterious book, Whyborne wants to finish the job and get rid of the detective as quickly as possible. Good story, but . . .
Revisado: 10-18-17
I enjoyed the story and the characters. The narrator was a bit dry and monotone at times but ok. The plot was a good paranormal mystery and I had no problem with the M/M romance aspect. But I was not expecting the explicit details of the physical side of the romance and it was a bit startling. Other M/M romance books I have read did not have that level of detail and it made me not want to listen to the other books in the series.

Glen and Tyler are young, in love, and the wealthiest human beings on the planet. But when Glen's brother calls from a jail in Paris - you guessed it - they're off to France to tangle with spies, neo-Nazis, evil world-spanning conspiracies, and French gangsters. Plus they have a romantic dinner, and find long-lost treasure. Really, it's a fun-filled, nonstop romp. In this third installment of the Glen and Tyler series, we meet up with our heroes a couple of years after their Scottish Troubles, a little more world-weary, a little wiser, and no less sarcastic.

This series is loads of good, escapist, fun! I have read the first three books and enjoyed each one thoroughly. Can't wait to read the others. And the narrator does a very good job with voices and accents.

Revisado: 01-24-17
What did you love best about The Sculthorpe Murder?
The pure enjoyment of a good story and well drawn characters.
What did you like best about this story?
Woods and Lavender's relationship with Billy Sculthorpe
Any additional comments?
This is the third Lavender mystery I have listened to and I have enjoyed them all. The main characters are very well drawn and I feel like I am getting to know them well. The stories are all well written and come to plausible conclusions without having to suspend belief or logic. Looking forward to more time spent with Lavender and company.

Timeless story -
Revisado: 10-09-15
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes very definitely! This story grabs your heart and never lets go. It dives down deep into your psyche and pulls your own memories of childhood and family to the forefront.
What does Mia Bankston bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Her soft, southern drawl imbibes the story with a sense of conversation - like I was sitting on a porch, sipping sweet tea, listening to a member of my family tell me her memories and her story.
Who was the most memorable character of Tender Graces and why?
All the characters are so well drawn and fleshed out that it's hard to pick the most memorable. For me, it was the mother, Kate. She was so full of secrets and open woundings that she could not get to heal -
Any additional comments?
You will not regret listening to this story - it will haunt your thoughts and quiet moments for days afterwards -

Historia
Twenty years ago, a barmaid in a harbor town fell for a young sailor who turned pirate to make his fortune. But what truly became of Black Edward Tew remains a mystery, one that has just fallen into the lap of freelance sword jockey Eddie LaCrosse. For years, Eddie has kept his office above Angelina’s tavern, so when Angelina herself asks him to find out what happened to the dashing pirate who stole her heart years ago, he can hardly say no—even though the trail is two decades old. Some say Black Edward and his ship, The Bloody Angel, went to bottom of the sea, taking with it a king’s ransom in treasure.
