Really good stuff. this seems like a Meyers-Briggs self-assessment that focuses on working styles rather than full on personality. Very interesting to look at yourself in a different way & immediately see members of your team in a different light.

I was hoping that this book would include a code to take the assessment online like a similar book I purchased a while back.

It pains me to draw this comparison, but it's almost like a Poor Man's (Financial/Self Help style) Screwtape Letters.
The author seems to encourage internal conversations in which he plays both parts, so to speak, so I can appreciate the idea of "interviewing the devil," but the message left much to be desired.
That being said, there are occasions in this book that blow my mind that his critiques of his time parallel my own critiques of my time. His bit on 'How to identify drifters' (Purposeless Fools, for those who haven't read the book) has not changed much in the past 90 years, it would seem.

I'm not sure how much this audio book differs from the podcast, but I really enjoyed the stories & lessons in the order it was presented.

Excellent, snacks 1yr study.

I expected this to be a word for word reading of the Bible. however, this is broken up into 3260 minute sessions and covers the Bible chronologically touching on geographical key points, cultural notes and language subtleties.

literally, the only complaint that I have is the horribly annoying jingle played between each lesson.. I feel bad even mention it, but it actually really annoys me:/

all in all, it is a fantastic use of your time and credit. highly recommended for anyone looking to do a first or not first yearly Bible study.

For instance, I hate books.

Just kidding- very informative subject matter, & it was wild listening to what I was assuming would just be another self-help type book identifying tendancies that I find myself falling into when overwhelmed or just not feeling motivation at work & in personal life.

I plan to re-read this, & I might try to make it an annual listen!

I'm sure I'll re-read this once I actually have children.

Very interesting topics & outlook on kids being brought up in a Christian worldview.

I'm reading this pre-emptively, & I expect that I'll re-read once my wife & I are actually expecting.

The performance was great. (Nothing worthy of a Grammy-for-voice-actors here, but genuine, & easy to listen to.)

I learned a lot from going through the enitre book, & as it is broken up, it'll be easy to go back during specific times of the pregnancy for a refresher course.

The PDF that accompanies the audio book was an unexpected plus. Again- not life changing, but I'm sure it will come in handy.

Overall- I really liked this book. The story did much more world & relationship-building than the movie was able to do with the time constraints of the big screen.

The performance by Wheaton was good. He didn't blow my mind in terms of voices among the main characters, but my biggest complaint had more to do with the text's translation to audio-format than his performance. (ie. reading of score/leaderboards was tedious & 1 text-conversation was particularly hard to listen to.)

While I enjoyed the story, here is what annoyed me about it. The story's premise is one that would theoretically assign value to all the wasted time of someone that has wasted an ENORMOUS amount of time watching movies, playing games, memorizing otherwise worthless popculture trivia, & so on. While this is all justified with the reward being offered in the dystopian future that is depicted, it was annoying at times to year the protagonist reference his 'research' (watching Monty Python 150+ times, playing perfect games of Pacman, etc.)

Voice Acting Takes a Big Hit

I'm submitting my review while only halfway through its the book because the voice acting is so upsetting. The woman that voices the red character is a major over actor, and although through the first three books I was able to get over the Scottish accent eventually, this one is too much. Oh my goodness. The overacting is extraordinary. I'm getting mad now just thinking about it. It really really upsets me when books make major changes to the voice acting after a successful trilogy.

**EDIT**
I found that listening to the red woman's chapters was twice as bearable when listening at 2x speed. With the oh-so-dramatic pauses and mispronunciation- nay, the butchering of the word mosquitoes, you won't have any trouble keeping up with her/missing any of the text. An added bonus is that her chapters feel half as long! (Her story does actually get interesting about 3/4 the way through, but at that point, it was too late for me.)
