Stretching it out while waiting for the next book
Revisado: 01-14-25
Rosamund Pike fantastic! her narration is incredibly skilled- each character receives its own breath of Life. I listen to this book about one half a chapter every few days. I love the book and narration, but the next book in the series has not been released yet and I want to flow right into it. I know that I'm going to purchase each book that she narrates in the series, and I'm not interested in listening to one of the other narrators just to continue the story. She is amazing!

I really enjoyed listening to this story. without spoilers, I hope that Robinson gives us all of the connecting pieces that we need to tie this story in with the series it clearly references. Well worth the credit.

Strap in for the opening salvo of the ARISEN: Operators epic—the biggest and most explosive ARISEN adventure yet and the untold story of the pipe-hitting operators of the Unified Special Operations Command during the first two years of the Zulu Alpha. To have any chance of reaching safety in Fortress Britain, Master Sergeant Yaël Sion must first escape the collapsing gravity well of Israel as it's devoured from within by merciless jihadi fighters, striking in the chaos of rampaging hordes of infected civilians, all in a global pandemic spiraling out of control.

Returned it
Revisado: 09-14-24
This story was felt very forced. I get the concept of including a commentary on current affairs; however, I don't need a history lesson- especially when I'm trying to listen to zombie post-apocalyptic dystopian fiction. if I want a history lesson, I will take another history class or read a history book. That being said, This book was an incredible letdown and, after the first 20 chapters- at chapter 21 – I chose to return it. It's not on the level of his normal work, and I wasn't willing to invest any more time in it.

Historia
Allie Hilts was still in high school when a fire at a top-secret research facility released an air-borne pathogen that quickly spread to every male on the planet, killing most. Allie witnessed every man she ever knew be consumed by fearsome symptoms: scorching fevers and internal bleeding, madness and uncontrollable violence. The world crumbled around her. No man was spared, and the few survivors were irrevocably changed. They became disturbingly strong, aggressive, and ferocious. Feral.

It was okay . . .
Revisado: 07-15-24
The story started off much stronger than it ended. The different viewpoints weren't so great, especially when it switched to third person. also, The attempts to show emotion and intensity often fell flat, and it was quite predictable. less than halfway through, It was very clear what was going on and what would happen. Still, as a YA book, it wasn't bad.

Historia
Lincoln Miller, an ex-Navy SEAL turned NCIS special agent, is sent to Aquarius, the world’s only sub-oceanic research facility, located off the Florida Keys, to investigate reports of ocean dumping. A week into his stay, strange red flakes descend from the surface. Scores of fish are dead and dying, poisoned by the debris that turns to powder in Miller’s fingers and tastes like blood. Miller heads for the surface, ready to fight whoever is polluting on his watch. But he finds nothing. No ships. No polluters.... No oxygen.

Modern Caveat Wrapped in an Entertaining Story
Revisado: 06-02-24
This was action-packed and entertaining from start to finish. with the current climate of our nation, much of the story serves as a relevant fictionalized warning of the risks of both complacency and extremism. Whether or not the author's intent was to go in that direction, or simply to write an entertaining tale, this work does well in both areas. areas. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and will be reading the follow-up starring the Cowboy.

New York Times and number one Audible.com best-selling author Jeremy Robinson takes listeners on a journey that is not only action-packed, but full of scientific and philosophical intrigue. In his most mind-bending story since Infinite and Alter, Robinson blends genres, belief systems, and bold prose into an unputdownable tale exploring the nature of reality.

Manufactured tragedy

it's disingenuous of writers to manufacture tragedy. The main character becomes more unlikable with each chapter, and this novel had a disappointing conclusion. I will not be reading the next installment.

Historia
With their Safe Zone overrun by the undead, taking refuge in the mountains seems like the safest bet for Rose, Tom, and the other survivors. There's one catch, however—between last spring's human exodus and a neighboring group's stockpiles, there's no food left to scavenge. They know to be wary of people and zombies, but a new adversary proves itself just as relentless—hunger. Supplies are slim in the wilderness, and living off the land is easier said than done. As winter sets in, and their food dwindles to nothing, they discover how far they'll go to save the ones they love.

Revisado: 10-31-23
Less teen angst (He loves me; he loves me not.), and more drawn out babbling. Still, another meh book. After experiencing a version of this for three books, I won't be buying the next one. I'm not writing another review about the specifics, my previous reviews for the other books will do just fine.

Whether romantic or platonic, changing relationships prove tricky for Rose, Tom, Clara, and Craig—never mind adapting to the new not-so-normal. Being surrounded by the undead is bad enough, but with a tyrant-in-training running their Safe Zone, it’s that much worse.

Complete Filler
Revisado: 07-02-22
Disappointing. This is the second time I've been disappointed by this series. It looks like the author has run out of ideas. This book was incredibly predictable, but it was predictable in a way that made me, as a reader, care nothing for the characters. I did not care if they lived or died, and I found the angst among them to be particularly annoying. Not to mention how dumb they all seemed. If you live in the middle of the zombie apocalypse, you would be a little more aware of the dangers of a lot of things that these characters just seem to foolishly ignore. I understand the need to move the plot along; however, at the very least let's do it in a way that is entertaining, if not believable. The back and forth between the characters was clearly used as a device to fill pages, and I think this book serves more as a bridge to the third book in the series.
On top of that, what happened to the zombies? they're in the zombie apocalypse, and all the readers get is teen romance and juvenile behavior. He likes me, he doesn't like me. It was quite silly. I felt like I was back in junior high reading a Sweet Valley High or some other teen romance novel.
I will, of course, read the third book because I like to finish what I start. still, I don't know if I will give any more series by this author a try.
