Historia
The messages waiting for Henry Pierce when he plugs in his new phone clearly aren't intended for him. They indicate something has gone terribly wrong for a woman named Lilly. Pierce probes, investigates, and then tumbles through a hole, leaving behind a life driven by work to track down and help a woman he's never met. Connelly's latest is "a grabber from the beginning...utterly compelling."

Fantastic!

Few writers capture the energy and fringe timbre of Los Angeles. His time as a crime reporter coupled with his gift as a storyteller merge in making him one of the most captivating mystery writers in recent memory. The reader is fabulous and this maybe my favorite mystery read of the past year. Don?t pass this one by!

Historia
Shane Scully and his partner are assigned to the case of "the Fingertip Killer"—a serial murderer preying on homeless veterans in Los Angeles. Every two weeks he strikes: he beats his victims, then shoots them in the back of the head. Once they're dead, he cuts off their fingertips, closes their eyes, and tosses them in the river. The latest killing, however, does not quite fit the pattern. It appears to be the work of the Fingertip Killer, but Scully suspects an elaborate copycat murder meant to hide a criminal conspiracy.

A consistently good author and creative producer does it again! Good story line and well read makes this more than a worthy read. If you like fast paced police action and well developed characters this book is for you. Enjoy!

It may be a children's book; however, it has enough intrigue for any adult. A great listen with your children on a trip or to and from school!

All too real!
Revisado: 08-21-05
If you want thugs shooting it out and car chases this may not be for you. However, if you like to see two characters working out the crime plots and twists through real police work, then this is great. i love the reader (not as much as his father's piano playing. Sorry John!) who I wish did more titles.

Historia
New York Times best-selling author Iris Johansen delivers a brand new thriller. Every day brings a new challenge for the forensic sculptor Eve Duncan: identify a new victim and help bring a criminal to justice. But Eve, who uses her intuition and modeling clay the same way a sketch artist uses a pencil, is about to meet her greatest challenge yet: a killer who is going to extraordinary lengths to obscure the identity of his victims, leaving them literally faceless and with burned fingerprints.

Past Lives and Ancient Volcanos

UGG! Generally a great writer. Too far fetched and not interesting. The mysterious Trevor comes across as a superfluous a$$. Even Eve seems silly and weak. The reader makes everyone sound 80 and seriously dumb. Sorry for the bad news. Save your rental for a better title. If you want well written far fetched stories that are fun, try Lincoln Child.

Interesting
Revisado: 12-07-03
A nice departure from the Alex Delaware series. I enjoyed the mystery as well as the insight into the lead character. It was nice to have an intellectual hero instead of the physical for a change. A real view of the way violence can change people.
