Historia
As the day dawns on the fiftieth annual Hunger Games, fear grips the districts of Panem. This year, in honor of the Quarter Quell, twice as many tributes will be taken from their homes. Back in District 12, Haymitch Abernathy is trying not to think too hard about his chances. All he cares about is making it through the day and being with the girl he loves.

Brutal and Beautiful
Revisado: 03-28-25
It must have been hard to write a story where everyone knows the outcome but seeing how Haymitch becomes who is in the original trilogy, the suffering he goes through, puts a lot into perspective. I genuinely think Haymitch is my favorite character in the series after witnessing the story of the Rascal. They really did him dirty.

Historia
Zane was driving home from work when the world changed. Thousands of dungeons spawned at once, taking up every inch of Earth—including the road he’s driving on. He wakes up to a totaled car and a broken leg, facing down a goblin trying to spear him through the guts. And that's just the start of it. But to Zane’s surprise, he finds himself enjoying this brutal new world. While others cower and hide, he goes on the hunt. He unlocks a unique Berserker skill—the more damage he takes, the stronger he gets.

This was so much better than I expected, normally I’m apprehensive about new litrpgs but I’m so glad I took a chance on this one! Zane is an absolutely badass character who actually has serious humor. Really gives me Defiance of the Fall vibes in the best ways. And all the side characters are really well written too. Felt like 3 books for the price of 1! Definitely worth the credit

Best book I’ve read in a long time! Definitely the best book in the series. Without giving anything away all I can say is that shit gets real!

10/10 friendship
Revisado: 06-12-24
I found most of the book interesting, a good 6-7. The last 3-4 hours really drove home how exceptional friendship really can be. The buildup and execution really knocked it out of the park for me. 10/10 personally. 7.5 for the story and flow, with the performance, as always, 10/10.

Historia
Ashlock wakes in the courtyard of a demonic sect... as a tree. A tree that eats people. An odd start to a new life. Almost as strange as the humans flying through the skies on flaming swords and challenging the heavens. After all, this is a world where humans could chase the goal of immortality through the art of cultivation. But Ashlock is merely a sapling in a desolate courtyard, left alone with his thoughts and unable to speak to those passing him by. Unless he does something about it.

Story is really good, narration though….
Revisado: 12-20-23
Nothing against Ramon but his narration is all over the place especially in the first half of the book. Weird inflections, mixed up character voices, randomly switching accents. Or it was just totally lifeless at times. Took almost twice as long as normal to get through it cause I couldn’t stand to listen to it. Only reason I finished was because of the impeccable story telling. Really it’s kind of a shame that the story was dragged down by the narrator but I guess that happens sometimes

Absolutely loved the world building in this series. A lot of people didn’t like how it progressed by the end but I feel like it couldn’t have been done better

The narrator nearly ruined it
Revisado: 07-07-21
I love this series. But the narrator doesn’t seem to understand basic pronunciation. As someone who speaks English and Japanese I was struggling to understand what he was saying when attempting to pronounce Japanese words.
