The fact that Hope tried to do what Charlotte did
Revisado: 04-23-25
This book is very moving and so sad. Hope came from a disfunctional family of alcoholics and compulsive gamblers. She hit rock bottom but was rescued by John Walker. Ironic that his name is also the name of a popular Scotch Whiskey sold worldwide. (except now those Tariffs might change all that). This book is a good distraction from today's Tyranny and Fascism that one would want to escape

Historia
Liverpool and Manchester. Two gloriously independent-minded, eclectic, culturally vibrant places—two cities, both alike in dignity. Yet the inhabitants dislike each other with a passion that is visceral. It is a divide that spans generations, across class and ethnicity. It is a divide that has grown over the years, largely driven by one thing: football. The dark, malignant loathing shared by the followers of Liverpool and Manchester United has seeped into every aspect of life in the two cities.

Brilliant. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I learned something new. I'll never look at LFC the same way again.
