Intriguing…

Love, love, love the narration on this. voEros is a long time favorite (so obviously his parts were my favorites) but the whole cast was great on this. Admittedly I probably need to pick up the kindle version and do a reread because my adhd goldfish brain got a little lost with the plot twists and jumps but that’s part of why it was so intriguing. The story is really interesting and I’m excited to read it again and to see where it goes next. Easy 10/10 on this one.

Short and sweet (spicy)

I think if this story had been fleshed out into a full length novel it would’ve resonated more. I didn’t feel like there was enough substance to it to make me care about these characters. The narration was great but I felt detached from the story.

Dreamiest Accents

Went into this one mostly blind except for a ‘sexy hunger games’ kind of TT teaser. The story was so engaging. The sex was hot, the romance was so sweet, and the plot was completely consuming. Accents are always iffy in audiobooks but I thought every character voice was perfect. Also will for sure be looking up all of these narrators’ other works because I loved their voices and the way they narrated the story. going to get this title on kindle for a reread because I adored this story from start to finish. Can’t wait for the rest of the series too! Easy 10/10!

Perfect Introduction

These prelude stories are the perfect bite-size introduction to the characters and the world of the series. Peter’s voice is perfect and really brings it all to life. 10/10. Zero criticism. Can’t wait to re-listen to this in tandem with the books now to bring it all together.

Bringing the fantasy to life

This story is an easy 10/10 for me. All the classic high fantasy you love but in a fresh and modern way. The audiobook was a second read-through for me and this narrator is PERFECT. Really brought the fantasy into reality and his voice is just lovely. I think this would be a great audiobook to listen to at bedtime or to have going as a tandem read with the physical book because it just brings it all to life. Outstanding!

The story is sweet and the spice is hot, but the narration on this is next-level. I went into this audiobook blind and I Loved it so much that I listened to it 3 times consecutively then bought the physical book. The way voEROS narrates this is more expressive than anyone else I’ve heard. His inflections and tone and emotion make the tender moments just… heartwrenching. And the shower scene? Oof. Seared into my echoic memory. And I’m not complaining. 10/10.

I am infatuated.

I read this book in paperback first and it was just so fantastic - full of twists and turns and all the emotions. It starts out slow (by that, I mean…mellow? not boring!) then it’s just a steady rise in adrenaline and intrigue to the very last page. I chose to listen to the audiobook because I loved the story so much I just had to relive it. Justin and Emily just brought everything to life in a whole new way, adding dimension and depth to an already beautiful story. This was perfection. From start to finish. Both in the writing and in the performance. 10/10. Incredible. *chef’s kiss* will be listening to more books by both narrators now, but these voices as these specific characters will haunt me forever (in the best way).
