Historia
Most organizations and individuals work in the context of annual goals and plans; a 12-month execution cycle. Instead, The 12 Week Year avoids the pitfalls and low productivity of annualized thinking. This book redefines your "year" to be 12 weeks long. In 12 weeks, there just isn't enough time to get complacent, and urgency increases and intensifies. The 12 Week Year creates focus and clarity on what matters most and a sense of urgency to do it now. In the end more of the important stuff gets done and the impact on results is profound.

This is the book you need!
Revisado: 01-26-24
Here is the only con to this book: the narrator’s volume is too low. Other than that, this book is pure Gold! I recommend using it along with the Effic Entrepreneurs Journal. Seriously, this book is worth whatever you have to pay for it if you are serious about upping your value.

Historia
Killing the Witches revisits one of the most frightening and inexplicable episodes in American history: the events of 1692 and 1693 in Salem Village, Massachusetts. What began as a mysterious affliction of two young girls who suffered violent fits and exhibited strange behavior soon spread to other young women. Rumors of demonic possession and witchcraft consumed Salem. Soon three women were arrested under suspicion of being witches—but as the hysteria spread, more than 200 people were accused. Thirty were found guilty, twenty were executed, and others died in jail or their lives were ruined.

I enjoyed the book. I’d recommend you listen if you are a fan of the Killing Series. As others have mentioned, it feels a bit light on the actual witch trials. However, the book covers a great bit and is definitely worth getting.

Historia
A business parable about how to create a start-up that won't trap you when you want to sell it. According to John Warrillow, the number one mistake entrepreneurs make is to build a business that relies too heavily on them. Thus, when the time comes to sell, buyers aren't confident that the company-even if it's profitable-can stand on its own. To illustrate this, Warrillow introduces us to a fictional small business owner named Alex who is struggling to sell his advertising agency.

I am just beginning to build my business. When speaking with a mentor about the future state of my business, he asked several questions I hadn’t thought of before. He then mentioned this book was part of a plan he had received a while back from a business coach he had used. Unprompted, he immediately sent me the audible version and I am forever grateful.
This book is undoubtedly the easiest business related book I’ve ever listened to. The information is useful and will offer several similarities to your own experiences. I definitely recommend it!

Historia
The tipping point is that magic moment when an idea, trend, or social behavior crosses a threshold, tips, and spreads like wildfire. Just as a single sick person can start an epidemic of the flu, so too can a small but precisely targeted push cause a fashion trend, the popularity of a new product, or a drop in the crime rate. This widely acclaimed bestseller, in which Malcolm Gladwell explores and brilliantly illuminates the tipping point phenomenon, is already changing the way people throughout the world think about selling products and disseminating ideas.

Have you ever appointed an individual to a key position in your church or ministry, only to realize later on that you made a poor choice? Or perhaps you realized that although the individual had potential, he or she wasn't quite ready to assume the responsibility you had assigned. Such regrets are unfortunate - and they are entirely avoidable.

Not pretty but informative.
Revisado: 10-02-22
I am 100% unapologetically pro-life. With that note, I have found this book attempting to be balanced and accurate in the retelling of the individuals who were involved with Roe. It’s not a textbook for or against abortion, and the author does mention his pro-choice bias openly. No matter your position on the issue you will undoubtedly learn something new about the people who played a role in such a life-changing decision.

Magnetizing & Magnificent!
Revisado: 06-20-21
I pressed play on my truck infotainment screen, just hoping I had found a decent book to help my wife stay awake for the trip back to Ohio from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. She’s an audiobook hater (my wife), so I was pleasantly SHOCKED when she offered me absolute instruction to NEVER LISTEN to the book without her. Bobbing in and out of sleep, our inquisitive 5 year old Daughter began to tune in to the story as well. When we would pause the book, she would fire a volley of questions, by which we were very pleased! Esther Ahmad and Craig Borlase have managed to share a heart touching true account of a miracle story, and do so in a way that is captivating. My wife was so moved by Easter’s story, she took to Google to aid in finding more information on the subject. Our family is now praying that God will lead us to someone who has lost familial ties for the sake of the Gospel, and that we can become relatives in Christ to them. Be ready for a challenge when listening! I highly recommend!!

Historia
In 1957, Melba Beals was one of the nine African American students chosen to integrate Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. But her story of overcoming didn't start - or end - there. While her white schoolmates were planning their senior prom, Melba was facing the business end of a double-barreled shotgun, being threatened with lynching by rope-carrying tormentors, and learning how to outrun white supremacists who were ready to kill her rather than sit beside her in a classroom. Only her faith in God sustained her.

Revisado: 06-13-21
The great success story of a Woman of Color. Although not without obstacles, Melba’s story of tenacious faith in God, coupled with grit to move forward, paints the splintered but splendid mural of the American Dream one may achieve in spit of whatever limitations may threaten to hold them back. Although the story isn’t always enjoyable to read, the outcome is miraculous!
