i really loved when dimple met Rishi so i was hoping to love twinkle as much. although i appreciated how she was written and the breakdown of social misunderstandings i wasn’t as connected to the characters . The narrators were great but in my opinion the story was missing something.

Historia
Nearly a quarter century ago Carter Cast seemed to have it all together: he had a first-class education, an all-American athletic career, and was a very bright and energetic rising star on the fast track at a Fortune 100 company, PepsiCo. But blissfully unaware of how negative perceptions were shaped, he was stunned when called into his boss's office, and told he was "unpromotable" because he was "obstinate", "resistant", and "insubordinate".

What a beautifully written story. I haven’t enjoyed a story this much in quite a while and it left me smelling salt in the air, wanting to taste coconut on my tongue and inspiring me to make beans and rice for dinner! Beautifully told and compelling!!

The story was funny and charming and beautiful Arthur Less is a beautifully endearing character and his friends feel like they are my friends!! I loved everything about this book.

Lots of good content , tough to digest it all, cold reader
Revisado: 04-03-18
I decide to read this book after reading Braving the wilderness which I loved. I was disappointed that it was not read by the author. The narrator although good didn’t bring the warmth that I loved from my first Brene Brown title.
Additionally although I found some really great things that I loved I think I would have preferred if this book was separated into a parenting/marriage version and into a leadership version. I think it would have been easier to stay engaged in the content

Revisado: 03-16-18
So apparently I’m part of the problem but I had to read this book to know it! Written with humor and humanity this book is for all the women who are looking for someone to stand in their corner and tell them who ever they want to be in life it’s okay and totally possible even in society makes you feel guilty for it. It’s also for every man raising a woman working with a woman or married to a woman. Any man who wants to be more in his home should read this book. Not only was it well written but Elise did an amazing job of performing it. I laughed more than I expected. This book is great I should have read it sooner I should probably read it again!

Historia
Much of what we hear about who gets to the top, and how, is wrong. Those who become chief executives set their sights on the C-suite at an early age. In fact, over 70 percent of the CEOs didn't have designs on the corner office until later in their careers. You must graduate from an elite college. In fact, only seven percent of CEOs in the dataset are Ivy League graduates - and eight percent didn't graduate from college at all. To become a CEO you need a flawless résumé. The reality: 45 percent of CEO candidates had at least one major career blowup.

You don’t have to want to be CEO to read this book
Revisado: 03-13-18
The CEO Next Door was one I thought I’d struggle with but as one of my #leaderbox titles I had to commit to it. Once I got past the title and the first 50 pages I found a wealth of information from understanding what it takes to be a successful leader to identifying the keys to acing high profile interviews and efficient networking. This is a book for anyone who aspires to climb to the next wrung of their career even if you don’t intend on being CEO.
