Historia
At once profoundly personal and far-reaching, Exit Interview with My Grandmother serves as a meditation on the beginning of a young woman’s life and the series of questions that arise from examining love, loss, family, memory, and death. Moving between cities and centuries, Meyersohn probes her family's Jewish history and her grandparents' relationships in part to decipher her own young queer relationships, but also to examine how we ought to behave in the face of a world riddled with uncertainty and doubt.

Not as advertised
Revisado: 03-16-23
I'm not sure why she veared away from the story of her grandparents and how her grandmother felt about her approaching death. I didn't buy into the comparison of her relationship w/ a college sweet heart and the sixty year relationship of her grandparents. Not what I was expecting.

This narrator is so awful I didn't make it through the first chapter. Her voice is just droning.

Anyone who answers the call is driven into a violent, psychotic madness that turns the entire town into a slaughterhouse. And Ash is caught in the middle of it all.

Not as good as book 1 in the series

Way too much gore. The witty banter is gone. SO violent! it adds nothing to the story.

Historia
Our narrator should be happy, shouldn't she? She's young, thin, pretty, a recent Columbia graduate; she works an easy job at a hip art gallery and lives in an apartment on the Upper East Side of Manhattan paid for, like the rest of her needs, by her inheritance. But there is a dark and vacuous hole in her heart, and it isn't just the loss of her parents, or the way her Wall Street boyfriend treats her, or her sadomasochistic relationship with her best friend, Reva. It's the year 2000 in a city aglitter with wealth and possibility; what could be so terribly wrong?

BAD, REAL BAD

It took three starts before I made myself finish it. It reads like a laundry list. Don't torture yourself!

Worse book ever
Revisado: 04-07-21
This seems to be a character driven novel, but there are no characters worth caring about! Annoying wining children grow up to be f*cked up whiney adults.

Not as interesting as I thought it would be. Thought the cases would be more prominent.
