Usually Robinson and Bray produce a great story and presentation. The story is terrible and the language is filthy.

Unbelievable Even for SIFi

It was good until we started discussing the alien. Then it got stupid. An advanced alien is not some some silly being the way Mr. Weir describes him. That was as far I could go. Good grief what is with writers.

First part of the book really adds nothing to the ongoing opera . Only the last paragraph gives a good clue to the only direction that the story could proceed toward. As a avid fan of this story line I really can't wait to see how Alanson will develop the story. As usual Bray gives a great performance.

I really love this series, The language is well balanced for adults to really keep the story funny and interesting. Just the way adults would talk. I also find it interesting that another series (We are Many - Bobi-verse) I'm reading as picked up on the Skippy character. Another very good series on audible. What is unusual is I believe I started reading this book when I was in a SiFi book club.

To long with a lot less pl;ot

Had trouble finishing the book. Mr. Clines is much to wordy. The story would have been fine with a couple of hours lopped off. The same way with book 1. You know we can infer some of the plot with a lot less verbiage (garbage).

Something additional is needed to tell the story

the concept is has old as Flash Gordon on the am radio but not as good. I don't know if it is the story or presentation. Why don't you listen to some of the old radio SiFi and see why they were so popular. Don't give up but maybe there is a need for some melding with good story and pictures - comic books not video, but a good picture is many words. There are great artists.

Terrible Presentation

I'm catholic and I'm embarrassed by Fr. Guinan discussion of creation. I have studied the Genesis chapter one and can find no problem with the narrative. The Hebrew language is precise. There are terrible problems with geology and the current science for measuring age. One example is the flood. There is real evidence that there was a global flood. The geologic column shows that sedentary material covers the earth just about every where. In the US west show great deposits of sedentary rock. that could only occur from a great flood. You cannot use radioactive dating for any measuring other than biological material. 6,000 to 10,000 years at the most. The theory of evolution really has serious problems. Examples include no remains of any fossils of animals that are supposed to show the changes from the first of an animal to its final animal. be the interim.

Fr. Guinan is trying to use flawed science to discredit the beginning as described in Genesis. If he was more of an orator the text would have least been a good read. .
