Historia
In the highly anticipated finale to the New York Times best-selling trilogy, dictators, prophets, and tensions rise. In a world that’s conquered death, will humanity finally be torn asunder by the immortal beings it created? Citra and Rowan have disappeared. Endura is gone. It seems like nothing stands between Scythe Goddard and absolute dominion over the world scythedom. With the silence of the Thunderhead and the reverberations of the Great Resonance still shaking the earth to its core, the question remains: Is there anyone left who can stop him?

Decent story ruined by woke ideology
Revisado: 04-07-23
Series as a whole was decent at best. Not a story we haven’t heard before, but it was told well enough. The reader did a good job, no argument there. However this book in the series decided to introduce some woke ideology into the series. Instantly killing the Steam that was barely started from the beginning. If you’ve made it this far in the series, you’ll probably be able to guess the ending well enough to skip this one. However, if you MUST know the ending, just know what you’re getting into.

Take a HARD pass!
Revisado: 12-19-22
Narrator did a good job, no doubts there. Just as good as the first book. That’s where the good news stops. This sequel is a disappointment in comparison. Audible prohibits me saying my reasons, so I’m just going to have to result in saying the story is not good and does not have the same soul or passion as the first. Not even in an “artistic difference” kind of way

Good $5 read
Revisado: 01-29-19
Lots of good information, don't get me wrong. However, the author continuously repeats sections of the book in as little as 2 paragraphs prior to a couple chapters prior. I can see that being helpful if this was a much longer read, but not in this short of time. Still, the fairly accurate in the sense of it followed a lot of more well documented texts and even brought to light some interesting things I wasn't aware of. My big complaint was how over the top the narrator was. They also repeated sentences a few times and you can catch slip ups in the reading the book. Furthermore, if you have ear buds as I do, you can hear other commotion in the background. That was all quite strange in my opinion. All in all, if you can stand the minor issues, it's not a bad $5 read. Definitely a good "introduction" into the lore which hopefully would peak someone's interest in learning more

Historia
Much of what is known of the Norse myths comes from the 10th century onwards. Until this time and, indeed, for centuries afterwards, Norse culture (particularly that of Iceland, where the myths were eventually transcribed) was an oral culture. In fact, in all Scandinavian countries well into the thirteenth century laws were memorized by officials known as “Lawspeakers” who recited them at the “Thing.” The Thing was the legislative assembly in Scandinavia “held for judicial purposes”. One of the most famous of these lawspeakers was the Icelander Snorri Sturluson.

Hardly about Tyr
Revisado: 01-28-19
Although it has some stories about Tyr, they are nothing you haven't heard before if you are an avid Norse Mythology reader. Some of the statements are quite contradictory to other, more well documented texts. Wrongful information was also given at times as well as mispronunciation and understandings of words. The reader did a fine job, however. I will give it that. All in all, my sole opinion, not a good resource for information

Historia
Neil Gaiman has long been inspired by ancient mythology in creating the fantastical realms of his fiction. Now he turns his attention back to the source, presenting a bravura rendition of the great northern tales. In Norse Mythology, Gaiman fashions primeval stories into a novelistic arc that begins with the genesis of the legendary nine worlds; delves into the exploits of the deities, dwarves, and giants; and culminates in Ragnarok, the twilight of the gods and the rebirth of a new time and people.

Very Enjoyable!
Revisado: 01-10-18
The author (whom was also the narrator) did a very good job reading. Was not a mundane or monotone reading, but full of change to keep you interested. The book itself gives a fantastic telling of the stories in Norse Mythology. Highly recommend!
