Didn’t enjoy

I went back to the reviews for this book multiple times while I was listening. I even made sure it was the actual book I was listening to. I didn’t like this book at all. Well unless we’re only talking about the last 30 minutes or so. I had to force myself to push through and finish it. It was so frustrating! I’d be afraid to listen to any other books in the series in case they are like this one!

Our first meeting was at a wedding, where he followed me outside and kissed me. Our second meeting ended in a huge fight with me kicking him out. Our third meeting, I went on a double blind date. You can imagine my surprise when I saw familiar blue eyes across the table opposite my friend. Then, he sent me an email listing 30 reasons why I should go on a date with him. His list was some of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever read. And the funniest. We laughed hard and loved harder. Wild, handsome players don’t fall for innocent girls like me. Or do they?

I love this book and it’s all due to Spencer. I love that there’s no games and no BS about him. Sure he was a player but when he decided he was in, then he was totally in. He always had her back too. That’s super important. I’m sure this book will be on my repeat listen list!

This had the chance to be a great story. Instead it was a series of long drawn out lost opportunities. I’m very frustrated with how long it took them to get together and stay together.

I love this series. I read it in the 80's

The narration is very good. I read all the books in Iron Tower and Silver Call in the 80's. One of my favorite series and why I love dwarven lore. Picked these up for a recent road trip. Well worth the coin.
