Historia
Only a handful of fictional characters are recognized by first name alone. Dean Koontz’s Odd Thomas is one such literary hero, who has come alive in listeners’ imaginations as he explores the greatest mysteries of this world and the next with his inimitable wit, heart, and quiet gallantry. Now Koontz follows Odd as he is drawn onward, to a destiny he cannot imagine. Haunted by dreams of an all-encompassing red tide, Odd is pulled inexorably to the sea, to a small California coastal town where nothing is as it seems.

Another Great
Revisado: 05-29-08
I am a huge fan of the Odd Series, and this one was as well written as the previous. The ONLY reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is I thought it could have been a bit longer. Other than that I loved the book. Odd had his usuall wit that kept me either laughing or smiling all through the end.

Historia
In 1989 Ken Follett astonished the literary world with The Pillars of the Earth, set in 12th-century England. Readers and listeners ever since have hoped for a sequel. At last, here it is. Although the two novels may be listened to in any order, World Without End also takes place in Kingsbridge, two centuries after the townspeople finished building their exquisite Gothic cathedral. The cathedral is again at the center of a web of love and hate, greed and pride, ambition and revenge.

I listened to this book immediatly AFTER Pillars. I am glad I did. While this one started a bit slower, after the first couple chapters, I was as hooked as ever. I could only hope to be stuck in traffic so I could keep listening.

Historia
Escape is a classic encounter between the forces of good and evil in human form that asks, and answers, questions of how to deal with supposedly "God-inspired" acts of murder and mayhem. In a riveting trial of garish courtroom confrontations, newly elected New York District Attorney Karp battles the "insanity of the insanity defense", as he tries to make Jessica Campbell, a rabble-rousing political science professor at NYU, pay for the murder of her three children. While Campbell claims that God told her to "send her three children to Him," it is up to Karp to prove that she was fully aware of the nature and consequences of her actions.

Worse book ever
Revisado: 05-01-08
I tried 3 times to listen to this book. I finally gave up after 2.5 hours, and decided to delete it and move on. The narrator made a bad book even worse. From here on out, I will avoid any book by this narrator no matter how good the author. Avoid this book, and use your credits on something worth while.

The Best
Revisado: 04-04-08
This is by far the best book I have ever "read". I am a big fan of Ken Follet, but was a bit nervous of the new style from what I was used to from him. After about 6 minutes I was completely hooked, and could only hope for traffic jams so I could listen to more and more of this book. I would not hesitate to suggest this book to anyone, and already have! This is a must read book.

I thought I would give him another try...I regret it. While better than the last, it still just seemed to drag on and on. I Like long stories, I wont usually download a book less that 12+ hours, but this should have been a 6 hour book...the rest was tiresome filler.

Sloooow
Revisado: 06-15-07
I am not sure I can suggest this or not. It took me about 9-10 hours to get into this story. When that happened it was a very good book. Until that point I had to literally force myself to listen to it. And I only did that because all my credits for the month were used. If you like very slow paced story lines this is for you, but I will pass on the rest of his books.

Very Good
Revisado: 06-15-07
While this is not the style of writing I am used to from Dean, it was very good. I have been waiting for a while for him to come out with a new book as I have read or heard all of them so far. This one was right up there with his best work.

A body has been found on the overlook near Mulholland Drive. The victim, identified as Dr. Stanley Kent, has two bullet holes in the back of his head, from what looks like an execution-style shooting. LAPD detective Harry Bosch is called out to investigate. As soon as Bosch begins retracing Dr. Kent's steps, contradictions emerge. While Kent doesn't seem to have had ties to organized crime, he did have access to dangerous radioactive substances from just about every hospital in Los Angeles County.

No thanks
Revisado: 06-15-07
I could not wait for the next book to come out in this series, but after listening to it, I wish I had to wait longer...the book was rushed and very unrealistic. It was more like a readers digest condensed version of the story with Harry running around solving it with annoying physic powers. I am sorry I can NOT suggest this book to anyone.
