Ugh, just no.

I don’t even know how I finished the first book. It’s only because I hate to not finish a book once I’ve started but I can’t get those hours back and it hurts me to think that I put myself through that. This is just bad. I hate to write bad reviews. I don’t usually. Just keep it to myself and move on. I just don’t want anyone else to go through what I did reading this if I can help it. The main character is just sublimely unlikeable. The quips and jokes and sarcasm and chauvinistic behavior. I could deal with some of it but it was just every few seconds and he had no redeeming qualities to balance it. The ending also had me rolling my eyes at all the ridiculousness. Seriously, just don’t buy this. You’ll thank me,

Love this series

I love this series so much. My only major complaint would be that the books are too short. Also that it feels like an eternity waiting for them to release. Quincy Harker makes me laugh out loud and I love all the other characters in the series as well. Seriously, I know you have a life Mr Hartness but write faster!

Good overall

I do like this series overall. I enjoy the characters and the narration is good. I have a few issues with some of the story lines and get a little worn out by the "must protect my sister" that is excessively thrown in. But it is a really good series to listen to and kept my attention throughout. I look forward to reading more of the series to see where it goes.

Good start to a series

I really enjoyed this book, and the characters. I don't really agree with the reviews that compare it to Dresden though. It is clever and entertaining and I look forward to the next book in the series.

Okay story that jumped around too much

I really wanted to like this book. I liked the story line, liked the characters but felt they weren't developed enough. I felt like it was jumbled a little and I couldn't get into the flow of it. Interesting premise though and I would give the author another listen.

Wow, I can't believe I bought this.

Look, I am a real fan of this series. I have loved it from the start. I have even enjoyed some of the stories were sex sort of became more of the story than was strictly necessary in my opinion. But this, I don't get it at all. There should have been an advisory on the cover that this book is of no consequence, has no story line, and should only be listened to if you want to listen to a little porn. I am okay with sex in the lines of a story. But there is no story. Period. I am sure that she convinced herself that this was helpful in understanding Anita and the people in her life. If that was the aim, she could have put a few sentences in a book that actually had a plot and maybe it would have been palpable. But 4 hours of nothing but sex and psychology is just ridiculous. Don't make the mistake I did in thinking that there had to be something worth listening to in this book. There isn't. Even if you plan on giving the series more of a chance, like I do, don't buy it. I promise, you aren't missing anything.

Can't get enough!

I love this series and am always sad when the book is over and I have to wait for the next installment. The main problem is that I read the first three in quick succession because I found the series after the first three were all available on Audible. The characters are amazing and funny and the story-lines are so entertaining. Kevin needs to write faster!
