Historia
After a brutal breakup and a dramatic workplace walkout, Lana Lee figures that helping wait tables at her family's restaurant is her best option for putting her life back together. Even if that means having to put up with her mother, who is dead set on finding her a husband. Lana’s love life soon becomes yesterday’s news once the restaurant’s property manager, Mr. Feng, turns up dead - after a delivery of shrimp dumplings from Ho-Lee. But how could this have happened when everyone on staff knew about Mr. Feng’s severe, life-threatening shellfish allergy?

Recently engaged and deeply ensconced in her third year of surgical residency in Chicago, Emily Hartford gets a shock when she is called home to Freeport, Michigan, the small town she fled a decade ago after the death of her mother. Her estranged father, the local medical examiner, has had a massive heart attack. At the hospital, she finds her father in near total denial of the seriousness of his condition. Hum
Revisado: 04-20-19
Main character is somewhat annoying. For me it was hard to get thru. Too many distracting issues happening at one time. The ending if you can call it an ending is disappointing for a book. Leaves too many questions unanswered. Would work better if it was an ending for a season finale of a tv show.

Historia
A serial killer is on the loose in San Diego, and he has a most unusual M.O.: with each kill, he leaves behind objects with unclear meanings. Most of the recent killings are centered near Kendra Michaels' home and office, so it comes as no great surprise when the FBI shows up at her door. The investigators soon make a startling discovery: the left-behind objects are actually souvenirs of other unsolved serial murder cases in various US cities.

Fine
Revisado: 01-14-18
What made the experience of listening to Leave It to Cleaver the most enjoyable?
Storyline
What did you like best about this story?
Some of the characters
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Her voice is VERY distracting when she is trying to display emotions and feelings. Comes off sounding very fake and whinny. Sounds fine when she is just reading.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Had hoped too, but had to keep stopping, narrators voice got on my nerves.
Any additional comments?
I like the series, that is why I kept getting the books. But really can not get thru another one with this narrator. Will get any further ones in print.

Revisado: 11-16-15
What disappointed you about Breaking News: Avery Shaw Mystery Books 1-3?
This book is annoying on all levels. If I could give it a minus star I would. That main character just comes off as an obnoxious pain.
Would you ever listen to anything by Amanda M. Lee again?
I would not listen to anything else by this author. Can not even get thru this one. Seriously sorry I wasted my credits on this. Now I am stuck with something I will not finish.
What didn’t you like about Angel Clark’s performance?
Its not really her fault that she is reading something with nothing to recommend it.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
NO!!!!
Any additional comments?
Wish I could get my credit back.

Ugh
Revisado: 02-08-15
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
A different narrator. A main character that was not so annoying.
What do you think your next listen will be?
A book from the Savannah Reid series.
Would you be willing to try another one of Diane Dabczynski’s performances?
NO! It was very hard listening to her. That whispery, breathless voice was very distracting. Especially when you are trying to deal with an overly opinionated main character.
What character would you cut from Lemon Tart?
The main one.
Any additional comments?
Did not like this book or narrator. Will not be listening to any more from this author or narrator.

Great
Revisado: 09-06-09
I love the way the author keeps to the story line and not skip here there and everywhere. I also like the narrators. The only thing I didn't like is that they have the American Women speaking with an accent. Looking forward to the next book. I hope the author brings out the hints that were brought out in this book about Syndel and Ivory possibly being related.

I really enjoyed this book. In fact love the whole series. I hope the author continues to write more. Was really glad the narrator did not have Raven speaking with an accent like the narrator in Dark Curse did, that was annoying since Raven was American. But this one is great. Looking forward to the next one.
