Historia
I was raised in a world where money and power are at your fingertips. My father is a lord, a very respected member of a secret society that knows no bounds. When tragedy struck my family, we discovered we weren’t untouchable. Just when I thought life couldn’t get any worse, I was shown what hell is really like. Then he came and saved me. The devil disguised as my personal hero. But of course, nothing is for free. Not when a soul is up for grabs.

Morals out the window... *slight spoiler warning*
Revisado: 10-18-24
I went into this book knowing this was going to be rough but that is an understatement. The Ritual had me aggrvated at Ryat, even knowing what type of society this is. But Sin, this man had me enraged. Again, knowing this is a dark romance in a society where women are meant to "serve" but Sin took it to a whole new level. He had some moments of softness but then back to his old ways. Meanwhile Ellie, the woman went through MAJOR trauma and no one to help her. Sin, trying in his way, to me it was just giving her an outlet but not a healthy one. Given her past which is hard enough, drove me crazy everytime she would handle herself anytime she'd get angry with anyone and resorted to old ways to cope, cause she didn't know a better way. Don't even get me started on her "I hate you, Sin" then next they're all over each other, him always having the control. If you're looking for good book on maniuplation (of all kinds), lying, strong dom/sub and bdsm then this book is for you. But I do plan to continue the series. This book will test you and trust me, I had my fill of these two characters. To wach their own I guess....PLEASE CHECK YOUR TW before reading this book!!

Historia
Everyone expected Violet Sorrengail to die during her first year at Basgiath War College-Violet included. But Threshing was only the first impossible test meant to weed out the weak-willed, the unworthy, and the unlucky. Now the real training begins, and Violet’s already wondering how she’ll get through. It’s not just that it’s grueling and maliciously brutal, or even that it’s designed to stretch the riders’ capacity for pain beyond endurance. It’s the new vice commandant, who’s made it his personal mission to teach Violet exactly how powerless she is–unless she betrays the man she loves.

Honestly, So Much Better...
Revisado: 09-24-24
I know this book gets alot of hate, while some disliked it, I suprisingly enjoyed it WAAAAYYY more than FW. The plot, action scenes, sarcasm (humans & dragons alike), dynamics between the side characters, and the siblings made this a solid 4.5 for me. Also with the fact the romance didn't take from the story like in FW, I get it's a romantasy but damn. I much preferred IF over FW. And now this cliffhanger has me looking foward to the next part of this series, which I honestly didn't think would happen but here we are. If you want more action, sarcasm, family dynamics and not the instalove trope, IF is your kind of book.

Better than the movie!
Revisado: 01-27-21
This book will make you think about things beyond your everyday normal. What comes after death and how vivid the descriptions make you actually see what the characters do. Though, in the relgious sense I do have doubts, not that I do not believe there is notbing beyond this life, I just don't put into one simple category. But I do know if there was a place I would like to imagine Heaven is like, it's in this book. I could not put this book down being so enthralled with the story and thinking about what comes next, the beauty in the connections souls can have and not even begin to understand. This book is a masterpiece and if you like to be entertained and think about what you're reading, read this book!!

Historia
Two men, each handsome and unusually adept at his chosen work, embodied an element of the great dynamic that characterized America’s rush toward the twentieth century. The architect was Daniel Hudson Burnham, the fair’s brilliant director of works and the builder of many of the country’s most important structures, including the Flatiron Building in New York and Union Station in Washington, D.C. The murderer was Henry H. Holmes, a young doctor who, in a malign parody of the White City, built his “World’s Fair Hotel” just west of the fairgrounds.

A Must Read!
Revisado: 12-31-20
At first, I had my doubts I'd even read this book. Yet the moment I pressed play, I found myself transported back in time and was enthralled in the history of the plot. Granted I did not read this for the architecture portion of the story but learning about the trials endured throughout this book made me have an appreciation for the history and how far we've come today. Holmes fascinated me and even though his side remains a mystery even to this day, I still enjoyed how it tied into the story while keeping it's independence. If you enjoy crime and history with a little mystery, I highly recommend this book!!
