Historia
For decades, the tiny Jewish shtetl of Kreskol existed in happy isolation, virtually untouched and unchanged. Spared by the Holocaust and the Cold War, its residents enjoyed remarkable peace. It missed out on cars, and electricity, and the internet, and indoor plumbing. But when a marriage dispute spins out of control, the whole town comes crashing into the 21st century.

Historia
It starts off simply enough. (Doesn't it always?) Jack has been on hiatus since the tragic events in Harbingers. With his beloved Gia's encouragement he dips his toe back into the fix-it pool.Christy Pickering's 18-year-old daughter is dating Jerry Bethlehem, a man twice her age. Christy sensed something shady and sinister about him, so she hired a private investigator to look into his past. But the PI isn't returning her calls. Will Jack find out why?

Bad Narrator
Revisado: 03-17-14
Would you consider the audio edition of Bloodline to be better than the print version?
I didn't read the print version
What other book might you compare Bloodline to and why?
All of the other Repairman Jack books have been great to listen to, however this one has a lousy narrator. Instead of the manly voice for Jack, here we have someone who sounds like a 'wiseguy' from an early Dick Tracey type of 1940's movie. The narrator also fouls up Abe's accent. Instead of sounding like New York Yiddish, he sounds like a transylvanian vampire.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Dick Hill?
Christopher Price
Any additional comments?
The story is great, but the narrator ruins it.

Historia
A middle-aged man returns to his childhood home to attend a funeral. He is drawn to the farm at the end of the road, where, when he was seven, he encountered a most remarkable girl, Lettie Hempstock. Forty years earlier, a man committed suicide in a stolen car at this farm at the end of the road. Like a fuse on a firework, his death lit a touchpaper and resonated in unimaginable ways. The darkness was unleashed, something scary and thoroughly incomprehensible to a little boy. And Lettie - magical, comforting, wise beyond her years - promised to protect him, no matter what.

Historia
In the traditional folktale of Sleeping Beauty, the spell cast upon the lovely young princess and everyone in her castle can only be broken by the kiss of a Prince. It is an ancient story, one that originally emerged from and still deeply disturbs the mind's unconscious. Now Anne Rice's retelling of the Beauty story probes the unspoken implications of this lush, suggestive tale by exploring its undeniable connection to sexual desire.

Not Erotic. Just Sickening Filth
Revisado: 09-17-05
Spanking, paddling, smacking. That's the jist of this book. It's filled with poorly worded descriptions of heterosexual and homosexual scenes. Not sexy. Not erotic. Not a good story. Rather revolting.

Historia
Like no book before it, Preachers of Hate uncovers an ancient hatred that threatens the life and livelihood of every American. The "new" anti-Semitism targets not only Jews, but Americans specifically and the West in general. It targets our values, our lifestyle, and our freedoms. It is the single most important issue we face when trying to make sense of the Arab world.

Every American Should Read This Book.
Revisado: 09-01-05
When we hear about anti-semitic acts, we are all a bit upset but we think of them as isolated incidents & strictly against the Jews. They are not! These acts & 'protected speech' are an assault on every single one of us. This book illustrates that America and our western society are directly effected. The information in this book is really SHOCK and AWE. This is a must listen.
