Historia
In this speech of 1848, the great abolitionist Frederick Douglass makes an eloquent call for self-reliance. He points out that prejudice becomes powerless in the presence of industry, sobriety, and honesty combined with intelligence and self-respect. "There is gold in the earth, but we must dig it", says Douglass in reference to character which is attainable, and each must attain it for himself.

Historia
It was the last peace, the great peace, the deep breath before the storm. The Golden Age was closing and the heavens paused and waited for the long plunge ahead. Some people saw it coming. But they were few. The first episode of this geopolitical thriller sets up the start of an epic battle between Light and Darkness. Taking listeners from Saudi Arabia to Israel to Washington D.C. and Chicago, Wrath & Righteousness is a frightening, torn-from-the-headlines peek into the future.

Compelling!

Unable to unplug, dragged chapter through chapter.
The world requiring my attention and I reluctantly surrendering to my responsibilities requiring me to unplug from this audio book, yet waiting for the first opportunity to reengage.
The greatest question always being asked "How would you respond?" "Could you be that courageous?"
Would you listen to that spirit that calls to each of us, Or will you call on the Holy Spirit and open the door for he is there wanting, waiting to help when and if you call.
History, the world as it is, the technology that is out there now. This book brings the American story and shows a future that is very possible, yet it reminds us of what makes a free people different from a serf.
Love the Lord God with all your heart and soul.
Love your neighbor as thy self.
Thank you for the great book and and great narration.

Historia
Politics is no longer about pointing to a shining city on the hill; it's about promising you a shiny new car for your driveway. The candidate who tells the people what they want to hear is usually the one who wins - facts be damned. Politicians may be sleazy and spineless, but they're not stupid. They see that the way to win is by first telling people everything that is wrong with the world and then painting a vision of the life they want - a Utopian vision that they'll create right here on earth, one where no one is ever sick or hungry, jobless, or homeless.

They say the winner writes history. This book exposes those writers and the characters involved.
