Historia
The 12th-century Christian mystic Hildegard of Bingen has been described as "...a visionary, scientist, diplomat, and poet." Created by Dr. Nancy Fierro, CSJ, Hildegard of Bingen and Her Vision of the Feminine transports us through space and time to the medieval cloisters where Hildegard struggled to express her spirituality. How she succeeded in a world open only to men holds lessons for every woman in every age.

Not a Fan

The narration was good. Not a fan at all of the interpretation of Hildegard’s spirituality.

The beautiful devotion to Our Lady of Sorrows is exceedingly beneficial in helping Christians bear their sufferings well and follow more closely the footsteps of Christ. After listening to this book, one's relationship with Mary, the mother of God, will always be different.

Well-delivered, edifying, thank you. Not terribly long, but still more than sufficient to inspire prayer and contemplation. Thank you.

Historia
Ever wondered if there were more writings from the first few centuries by Christians? Well the answer is - yes! There is much that the early Christians left us and they are available in this day and time. The New Testament is our rock to stand upon, but there are other works that we can glean from that are filled with godly wisdom and virtue. The 1st Epistle of Clement to the Corinthians is just that kind of work that can further your walk with Christ in this present day.

Very Good
Revisado: 03-01-24
I’ve enjoyed listening to this, as part of my current study of the Early Church Fathers. The narrator was a very good choice. The content differed a little from the text I was working off of, but, that seems pretty common with these works. All in all, the audio version helped me to get more out of the text I’m using for the class. I never really realized how much of an audio learner I am until I got Audible. It really helps me to process the information.
