His is a success story like no other: a man who developed animated film into an art form and made a massive contribution to the folklore of the world. After years of research, respected Hollywood biographer Bob Thomas produced a definitive biography of the man behind the legend of Disney: the unschooled cartoonist from Kansas City who when bankrupt on his first movie venture and developed into the genius who produced unmatched works of animation.

Almost Made Me Cry (Just a little)
Revisado: 02-12-25
This biography was surprisingly honest with who Walt was and it was interesting to see how he saw and thought of things. From his life growing up to his last moment he was always being inspired and working and that influenced me quite a bit while listening. I felt like I got to know him and when it finally got to his final moment I teared up a bit and it made me realize that the Disney studio wasn't always the huge corporation it is now; it was once a man's dream and it sounded like a fun and imaginative place.
If you want to get inspired, feel some optimism and learn more about how Walt went about his work I HIGHLY recommend this. It's as fun and intriguing a ride as any in Disneyland.

Inspiring and educational. Great for fans and creators!
Revisado: 12-12-24
I feel I learned a lot from this book. For those wanting to take on more creative career paths, you should listen to this. It goes over how Stan's childhood interests would later influence how he created and wrote the Marvel characters and how he was able to keep himself publically relevant and popular throughout his life. It really humanizes him and makes me sad he's gone give how this book was released before his death and speaks of him in the present tense. I loved listening to this and have never appreciated Stan more than I have now. You'll learn lots of great lessons about life and creativity and love Stan even more.

Love this cast and how indepth this story gets into the heads of the characters z never read the original story but it seems pretty intense with a lot of themes of existentialism, morality and mortality.

Revisado: 03-06-24
I heard good things about outbound flight but the only Audio book that had been available was the abridged one. I waited for the unabridged version and it was so worth it! So many angles for this story! Political intrigue, adventure, action, lots of perspectives: it's feels so grand and Thrawn himself is always great in these books.

A REALLY strange but surprisingly entertaining romp
Revisado: 02-08-24
I ended up enjoying this book way more than I thought. I always heard that this book was kinda dumb for the relationship drama and it's weird that it led into a much more action packed plot, but the drama was well written enough and it's interesting to see the origins of the Night sisters and Dathomir from the clone wars show. I liked it :3

Historia
Deep down here by the dark water lived old Gollum, a small slimy creature. I don’t know where he came from, nor who or what he was. He was Gollum—as dark as darkness, except for two big round pale eyes in his thin face. He had a little boat, and he rowed about quite quietly on the lake; for lake it was, wide and deep and deadly cold.

Ill be honest, I kinda prefer the movie's version of the story more. But I'm still glad I listened to this.

What drives the Man Without Fear? Matt Murdock was raised by a single father, an over-the-hill prizefighter with one last chance to make good - a chance that cost him his life. Taunted and tormented by other children, Matt's life was irrevocably altered after he was blinded by radioactive materials while saving the life of an old man. The payoff? An unbreakable will and a keen intelligence, helping focus the super-senses with which he was blessed during the accident. His story is one of love, pain, disappointment, and strength.

Iron Man and Captain America are two core members of the Avengers, the world's greatest superhero team. But when a tragic battle blows a hole in the city of Stamford, killing hundreds of people, the US government demands that all superheroes unmask and register their powers. To Tony Stark - Iron Man - it's a regrettable but necessary step. To Captain America, it's an unbearable assault on civil liberties.

Best version of the Story for the most part. Impressive!
Revisado: 05-19-23
The original civil war comic was controversial. I would say this improves on it in a lot of ways. Certain characters are expanded on better, certain events changed for the better, and the production value for this adaptation is super awesome to listen to. Only issue i have is how fickle Iron Man/Tony seemed. One moment he's regretting certain things but then the next he's doubling down on them, he didn't seem to go through any real character development.
Not sure if I like this more than the movie: which is a very different version of the story. Still, i enjoyed listening to this and the parts I liked I REALLY LIKED, With some annoyances with the story here and there. Recommended
