Historia
Gloria French was a jolly widow with dyed blonde hair, a raucous laugh, and rosy cheeks. When she first moved from London to the charming Cotswold hills, she was heartily welcomed. She seemed a do-gooder par-excellence, raising funds for the church and caring for the elderly. But she had a nasty habit of borrowing things and not giving them back. They're just small things - a teapot here, a set of silverware there - so it's quite the shock when she is found dead, murdered with a poisoned bottle of elderberry wine.

The spin on fairy tales!
Revisado: 09-04-24
Drew Hayes can tell a tale like no other. I love his books and this one didn’t disappoint! It is a series of adventures by 3 extraordinary creatures each loosely based on childhood fairy tales. Totally enjoyed! Looking for my next Drew Hayes book.

Twists and Turns
Revisado: 08-22-24
I thought the book was a bit long but the author tied everything together very well. The story was well written and narration was good. It was full of surprises and the main character was confident, cocky, and flawed. Overall, if you like other books by this author, you will like this one.

Revisado: 07-10-24
I waited for another book for some time as I love the series. However, I found this one hard to follow and keep up with. I am glad I finished because I got to hear Sherlock tell Lord Ingram that she loved him. Other than that it was a bit confusing. Maybe just me??

The war.
Revisado: 06-25-24
This book, even with the parts that were hard to read because of the subject matter, was an awakening for me. I was in High School during Vietnam and in my own small world. Now, I am 71 and ‘awoken’ about Vietnam. A very well written novel and as I said before, sometimes tough to read, I am so glad to have read it and to recommend it to you.

Historia
Most people would be overjoyed to win $50,000 and the chance to star in a nation-wide commercial, even if it was just for a fast food joint like Camelot Burger. Then again, Clint Tucker has never been like most people. Ushered to the tropical paradise of Kenowai, he and the other winners undertake an island tradition for the cameras, one meant to free a local imprisoned deity. One with very specific requirements that have yet to be met. One that might just be a bit more authentic than any of them expected.
