A historical with modern views
Revisado: 07-27-18
Without spoiling the story for others, the plot was personally not to my liking. I felt that the story was a little rushed. It would have been better with more details. If Colin had attempted to make amends to Tabitha, instead of the other way around, I think that I would have enjoyed the story more. For a historical romance, I found the characters to be too accepting of a situation that would have been frowned upon during that era.

Historia
Lady Constance de Bret was determined to be a nun, until shadows from the past eclipsed her present. Marriage is the safest option, but she insists on a spiritual union, in which physical intimacy is forbidden. Not so easy with a bridegroom who wields unparalleled charm! But a long-buried secret could taint his affection and cloak her in shadow forever. Back from the Crusades, Sir Robert le Donjon craves a home of his own and children to inherit it. From the moment he meets Constance, he feels a mysterious bond between them.

Swimming into the sunset
Revisado: 07-13-18
This story was written by an author, Judith Sterling, with a gift for telling a story. It is narrated beautifully by Virginia Ferguson. The characters were well developed and it was a pleasure to listen to their story unfold. Constance and Robert's relationship is tender, but sensual. Theirs is a true bonding of two people who need healing from different experiences that trouble them. Don't miss out. Shadow of the Swan is a joy to listen/read.

Historia
Eoin Grant hasn't encountered a female of his race in decades, and this crazy person's scent declares her unmated. Fate set her in his path, and he won't let this opportunity slip through his claws. No matter how wary she is of him. After all, how many chances does a dragon have at finding love? But fate can be a crueler mistress than his perfect mate. Of all things, she thinks she's human. But she's been around enough shifters to know the look, and she won't go down that road again.

Historia
Captain Morgan Pendray is a career soldier, a Welshman serving in Cromwell's English army sent to invade Scotland. As if life isn't complicated enough by these conflicting loyalties, he is drawn to Hannah Kincaid, a Royalist spy he suspects has spirited away the Scottish Crown Jewels from under Cromwell's nose. Is it true love or a cat-and-mouse game that will end with each betraying the other?

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. It is well written and beautifully narrated.
What about Greg Patmore’s performance did you like?
He made each character come to life.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
In the midst of war can love bloom?
Any additional comments?
I listened to an Audiobook of Highland Betrayal. I can honestly say that it is the best book that I have read/listened to this year. The author, Anna Markland, weaves a beautiful story of love between two opposing sides in a war. The narration by Greg Patmore further enhances the story. Between Markland's gifted writing and Patmore's narration the story of Morgan Pendray and Hannah Kincaid is brought to vivid life. I almost felt like I was a spectator watching the story unfold. Magnificent.
