MFC was immature. She was supposed to be this confident, and make great decisions as a healer yet in her personal life her choices didn't reflect the character she should have been consistent with.

Love triangle- too much time building connection intimacy with love interest #1 made love interest #2 not believable and made him look pathetic and weak for even being shadow daddy over and stupid girl.

Not enough closure with so many secrets when story ended that I felt my time was wasted.

The world building had a lot of potential but because
I couldn't care for MFC enough to go on to book 2. This story is a pass

Predictable. Not in fan of the FMC

I did the love the story. It was predictable, so, it made me hate the FMC. If she was so street smart and savvy then she became very trusting and dumb. I also wasn’t a fan that she didn’t have good moral character. It was hard to see her as a hero when she was so dishonest through out the book.

Very similar to the Fourth Wing.

Had me until chptr 19

I've tried to invest in this series. Very cool and creative foundation . But the blasie sex orgy in chapter 19 was a turn-off and just weird. Not for high schoolers. It wasn't realistic and made me stop thinking main characters could even know how to be romantic. I no longer was team Seth.

Original and amazingly entertaining.

I loved this story. I was entertained the whole time. Many novels can drag on and get boring. I loved it. Lauren Fontana was an excellent narrator.
I loved how she described situations with over doing it.
The romance was steamy with out it being gross. I’m downloading the second d book. I’m looking at fan art on Pinterest. Loved this story.

Great story. I listened straight through, the WHOLE time!!!! Totally Veronica Mars. However, there were many times the main character made decisions that were unlawful, withheld evidence that protected “friends” from facing crimes they committed. And As much I loved the story .., I ended up disrespecting the main character in the end. Because she was just a teenager making adult decisions. She also came across self-righteous based on her own emotional PC.
The author has talent no doubt, but missed the mark for me in the end. Because justice wasn’t served, preachy about justice = talking out of both sides of the mouth.
The narrator was awesome + I loved the other voices. The production was well done!!! The main character needs some emotional maturity.

Fresh new kind of magic

I loved this story. Learning more about the bone crier gives nice new type of magic. They way they acquire it. Wish author would give more explanation. The story line was great. I also wish author would have developed the romance relationships between main characters.

I love love Fio a Hardingham narration and read many books because she is the narrator. I was new to Billie and Alex. Alex had a breathy voice and it did distract at times. Sounding to put out or serious instead of excited or strong. He sounds like he could have a nice English accent voice, buy work on one breathy tone. The only reason for 4 stars on performance. Also there were times the editing, was pieces in and I hadvtobre listen to understand what was happening.

Overall the storyline was exciting and had a nice twist in the end.

This was very enjoyable. I wish it hadn’t ended and I have to wait for book 2. It kept me going. Love the magic of each God. The way they accessed it seemed new to me. Also enough conspiracy and mystery to see who dunnit at the end. Romance was not cheeseball.
