Historia
The next book in the perennially adored No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency series sees Precious Ramotswe calling upon all her maternal instincts when she's faced with a two-ton case. They say it takes a village to raise a child, but can Mma. Ramotswe and the rest of the No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency come together to raise a pipsqueak pachyderm? We may find out in this novel. We may not. Who can say?

New narrator
Revisado: 12-03-22
For a different series the narrator would have been fine but we have become accustomed to Louse Le Claire and the change is not welcomed. This will be my last audio book for this series. :-(

Historia
The Jewish people are one of the oldest living people groups on the planet. The Jews lived alongside the ancient Egyptians, Babylonians, Phoenicians, and Sumerians - all of whom have since disappeared from the pages of history. Yet the Jews still remain. Despite all of the odds, Jewish culture, language, laws, and religion have remained intact over the course of thousands of years.

Brilliant!

Enjoyed this immensely and ashamed at how little I knew of the history of the Jews.

Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

Wow!

This has to be one of the most amazing novels I have ever read. Not normally a fan of novels, it kept me spellbound for the entire book. An amazingly sweet story of innocence and survival. As a lover of nature, I was transported to Kaiya’s marsh and reveled in every description and moment I spent there. The narrator was tops in my books. A pleasing and even voice which is not always the case in audibles. What an amazing tribute to those who are different. What an amazing example of a ‘disability’ in circumstances that turns into a gift. Thank you for this gift during this crazy time of the COVID 19 pandemic. It couldn’t have been a better escape from the reality of the daily news.
