One flaw almost ruined the enitre book
Revisado: 09-06-16
What made the experience of listening to The Warrior Elite the most enjoyable?
The story, pacing and delivery were quite good - with the exception of when the narrator spoke 'HooYah'. His choice of emphasis was so out of place when reading this ever present response I almost gave up on the entire book. Alas, I recommend you try to overlook it and press on.

Historia
Humanity's first reusable spacecraft and the most complex machine ever built, NASA's space shuttle debuted with great promise and as a dependable source of wonder and national pride. But with the Challenger catastrophe in 1986, the whole space shuttle program came into question, as did NASA itself, so long an institution that was seemingly above reproach. Wheels Stop tells the stirring story of how, after the Challenger disaster, the space shuttle not only recovered but went on to perform its greatest missions.

Great story ruined by Narrator pacing and delivery
Revisado: 05-09-16
Would you consider the audio edition of Wheels Stop: The Tragedies and Triumphs of the Space Shuttle Program, 1986-2011 to be better than the print version?
No. Reason: Narrator. The pacing and delivery of the narrator leave much to be desired. At times there seems to be an emphasis on the wrong part of a sentence, leaving a completed thought seeming like it was written with a semi-colon or an ellipsis. Additionally, I would liken the delivery to a very smart PhD who is not an orator delivering a practiced speech while trying to sound like an American news anchor.
What other book might you compare Wheels Stop: The Tragedies and Triumphs of the Space Shuttle Program, 1986-2011 to and why?
A Man on the Moon by Andrew Chaikin. This work also includes the human aspect of spaceflight during the early - and specifically Apollo - missions.
Would you be willing to try another one of James Killavey’s performances?
No.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Ask Tom Hanks that...
Any additional comments?
I would gladly retry the audio version of this book with another narrator.

Historia
As the Empire reels from its critical defeats at the Battle of Endor, the Rebel Alliance—now a fledgling New Republic—presses its advantage by hunting down the enemy’s scattered forces before they can regroup and retaliate. But above the remote planet Akiva, an ominous show of the enemy’s strength is unfolding. Out on a lone reconnaissance mission, pilot Wedge Antilles watches Imperial Star Destroyers gather like birds of prey circling for a kill, but he’s taken captive before he can report back to the New Republic leaders.

Should've called it "Star Wars Book of Similes"
Revisado: 09-10-15
Where does Aftermath: Star Wars rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Average, though I am not a usual listener of Star Wars novels.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
Continued where the films left off.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
Don't even try to make 'chewbacca' noises.....
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
no
Any additional comments?
Seems like every 5-10 minutes there is some sort of crazy simile in the text - though in the Star Wars universe. It really seemed as if the writer made a list of similes to include and made it a point to include as many as possible. ALSO, note that there are sound effects built in, and unfortunately there is Always a background noise (or hum) of some sort (intended) that I didn't care for. For the hardcore Star Wars fan you probably won't notice or mind any of this, but for the casual reader such as myself, use caution.

Not a worthy prequel to Live Another Day
Revisado: 08-08-14
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
No - the story was more applicable to a late teenager / early twenties reader looking for a time waster novel. This title is nowhere near the work produced by - for example - 24 Screenwriter Vince Flynn, nor does it come close to any of the other major series in this genre. I am a die hard 24 fan, and am sad to say I am disappointed.
Has 24: Deadline turned you off from other books in this genre?
No - this title is simply lacking.
Have you listened to any of Fred Berman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have not. I thought his vocal performance was quite good, though I must say his voice never grew on me. If you like his voice, you will find a good vocal performance here.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
No, too predictable, not worthy of the title 24.
Any additional comments?
I had very high hopes that this novel would be a knock out, but unfortunately was disappointed. The story seemed to be a 'bolt on' in order to waste time while the 'ultimate goal' of Jack could be accomplished. Sorry for being vague, but I don't wish to spoil the plot for those willing to give it a shot.

Doesn't engage like the first 2 in the series
Revisado: 01-31-13
Would you try another book from Joel C. Rosenberg and/or Patrick G. Lawlor?
When I choose a title, I like it to stay generally within the bounds of the appropriate genre. This one, for me anyway, includes a bit too much theology and tends to slightly muddy the waters. Keep in mind it is still a good story, and the vast majority will likely enjoy it, but it is now what I was looking for. I will try to give book 4 a try before abandoning the series, but for some reason it simply just did not work for me.

Would you listen to The Last Days again? Why?
Though current events have made the events somewhat stale, this is still a very engaging 'read'. For those that follow the likes of Jack Bauer, Mitch Rapp, etc this book may interest you, though the main character is a political advisor and not an agent of a government agency. Sure he gets in the action, but it's a bit different. Good action, engaging characters - reccomended.

Historia
On March 30, 1981, President Reagan walked out of a hotel in Washington, D.C. and was shot by a would-be assassin. For years, few people knew the truth about how close the president came to dying, and no one has ever written a detailed narrative of that harrowing day. Now, drawing on exclusive new interviews, Del Quentin Wilber tells the electrifying story of a moment when the nation teetered on the brink of chaos.

Revisado: 01-31-13
Would you consider the audio edition of Rawhide Down to be better than the print version?
This reads very much like a fiction novel, though it is 100% historical. Consider this an apolitical collection of information about the attempted assassination of President Reagan - written in a riveting way that - if you enjoy this 'genre' as much as I - will become a definite re-listen
