These two narrators were great as usual but there just wasn’t much for them to work with in this “plot light” story. “First grade
Teacher takes job in strip club to make
20,000 dollars to send her parents on a Mediterranean cruise, where
She meets a billionaire”. This one was
definitely a DNF for me.

A DNF for me

This was a DNF for me. This book was 80% sex scenes and 20% plot. I prefer 80% plot and 20% sex scenes if they fit into the plot well. After listening for about 6+ hours I saw that I still had 6+ more hours to go. I was totally ready for the end then so I just gave up. The narrators did their usual great job but they didn’t have much to work with. To bad being because her books are usually good. Disappointed.

A bit slow and very predictable.

Good job by both narrators, which is always important to me, but the story was pretty slow and very predictable. I was pretty underwhelmed by this one.

Plot?

If you, like me, like a story with an interesting plot and character development, then this is not the book for you. It was so dull - sex, sex, drunk, high, maybe one sentence that hints that there will eventually be a bit of plot, repeat, repeat, that I eventually skipped whole chapters. Definitely not an author I crave more of.

Pretty Ho Hum

I kept waiting for some sort of plot to appear and something to happen. Never did. I love her book “The Worst Guy”. It was hard to believe this book was written by the same author.

This was a DNF door me. I’ve been listening for about three hours waiting for something to actually happen. If there is a plot in there someplace, I haven’t heard it yet!

Not the best of the series

I liked this series but two things were tough to take. First of all, even after listening to all four books I couldn’t keep then characters straight because all their names were so similar sounding. There was Pacey and Paisley and posey and Eli and Levi and Halsey and Hornsby and Holmes. I think this author needs a baby names Book! Also this book was a bit hard to take because Penny was such a crazy b**ch so much of the time. The other three books in the series were much easier to like!
