Historia
No Hollywood scriptwriter could possibly have envisioned the breathless, adrenaline-pumping climax to the 2021 Formula 1 season. On the very last lap of the final race of an unbelievably arduous and controversial season, Red Bull's Max Verstappen nervelessly overtook the seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes to clinch the first place that thrust the young prodigy to the narrowest of victories and to his first World Drivers' title. He followed up by taking the 2022 title as well.

Historia
When Elon Musk was a kid in South Africa, he was regularly beaten by bullies. One day a group pushed him down some concrete steps and kicked him until his face was a swollen ball of flesh. He was in the hospital for a week. But the physical scars were minor compared to the emotional ones inflicted by his father, an engineer, rogue, and charismatic fantasist.

A+ must listen
Revisado: 09-18-23
This is an incredibly inspiring and thought-provoking read. As someone who has always been fascinated by entrepreneurship and innovation, I found myself completely absorbed in the story of Elon Musk's remarkable journey from a young immigrant to one of the most successful and influential figures in technology today.
One of the things that struck me most about this book was the level of vulnerability and transparency that Musk displays throughout. He opens up about his personal struggles, including his experiences with depression and anxiety, and allows those closest to him to share their own stories as well. It's clear that this is not a typical CEO memoir, but rather a deeply human and relatable account of what it takes to build something truly groundbreaking.
The parallels between Musk's story and that of Steve Jobs are unavoidable, and yet, this book manages to stand on its own as a unique and compelling narrative. Like Jobs, Musk is a visionary who sees the world differently and is driven to create products and technologies that push beyond the boundaries of what's currently possible. But whereas Jobs was known for his intense perfectionism and sometimes difficult personality, Musk comes across as more introspective and self-aware, willing to admit when he doesn't have all the answers and acknowledging the sacrifices that come with pursuing such ambitious goals.
What I found most impressive about this book is the way in which it captures the sheer scale and complexity of Musk's endeavors. From revolutionizing the electric car industry with Tesla to making space travel accessible with SpaceX, it's clear that these are not mere business ventures, but moonshots that require an enormous amount of risk, determination, and creativity. And yet, despite the many challenges and setbacks along the way, Musk remains undeterred, driven by a fierce sense of purpose and a desire to leave a lasting impact on the world.
Ultimately, "Elon Musk" is a must-listen for anyone interested in technology, entrepreneurship, or simply the power of human ingenuity. It's a story that will leave you inspired, energized, and eager to tackle your own dreams and ambitions with renewed passion and drive.

Overly produced additional sound effects are distracting
Revisado: 07-10-22
The story and narration are top notch. The random placement of sound effects are very distracting and completely unnecessary. It’s like the audio guy just bought a new ‘pack’ of sound effects and couldn’t wait to use them all on this project.

Revisado: 11-10-18
Great book, and great narration. The sound track is really obnoxious, and really makes for a difficult listen. It seems so random and out of place. Scott Brick is a top notch narrator, one of the best in the business. There’s no need to undermine his work with a trash soundtrack (any sound track).

Not the best of Mitch Rapp
Revisado: 05-20-18
This was one of the more boring of the Mitch Rapp stories so far. Not that it matters I’m fully on board and will continue my binge listening.
There was one part of this story that was masterful, and made me smile for the first time in the series. Don’t want to spoil anything, you’ll know it when you hear it. The personalization of Mitch and his new bride brought depth to the character

A natural storyteller and raconteur in his own right - just listen to Paddle Your Own Canoe and Gumption - actor, comedian, carpenter, and all-around manly man Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation) brings his distinctive baritone and a fine-tuned comic versatility to Twain's writing. In a knockout performance, he doesn't so much as read Twain's words as he does rejoice in them, delighting in the hijinks of Tom - whom he lovingly refers to as a "great scam artist" and "true American hero".
