I have been practicing Wim Hof method for a few months and this book inspired me to go deeper with it. The narrator Ohno has also done extremely well.

Historia
For David Goggins, childhood was a nightmare--poverty, prejudice, and physical abuse colored his days and haunted his nights. But through self-discipline, mental toughness, and hard work, Goggins transformed himself from a depressed, overweight young man with no future into a US Armed Forces icon and one of the world's top endurance athletes. The only man in history to complete elite training as a Navy SEAL, Army Ranger, and Air Force tactical air controller, he went on to set records in numerous endurance events.

Great value. Plan to do all the challenges
Revisado: 12-04-22
I love the format of the audiobook as it expands upon the book in a podcast format after key parts. Great value and incredibly motivating. David’s life is an inspiration and there’s so many good quotes to apply to my life. Totally worth the listen. I finished listening much faster than I planned because I just couldn’t stop listening to his stories. I plan to go back and listen to individual parts and made plenty of audio notes to refer back to so I can actually apply what I’m learning here.

Historia
Koans are the record of paradoxical and provocative exchanges between Zen masters and their students that developed in medieval China. These exchanges, though often elaborated through commentary, have also been boiled down to one-line questions or statements to be held in meditation and daily life. Famous examples include, "What is the sound of one hand?" and "Not knowing is most intimate." In Through Forests of Every Color, renowned Zen teacher Joan Sutherland reimagines the koan tradition with allegiance to the root spirit of the koans.

Wonderful book with great audio
Revisado: 10-15-22
This book has such great insights into Zen/Chan koan practice and Joan has such a pleasant dreamlike voice. It makes it perfect for listening during the day or at night when you want to drift off to sleep just letting her words wash over you so that your subconscious can work on understanding it even while you’re sleeping.

Historia
In the year 2045, reality is an ugly place. The only time Wade Watts really feels alive is when he’s jacked into the OASIS, a vast virtual world where most of humanity spends their days. When the eccentric creator of the OASIS dies, he leaves behind a series of fiendish puzzles, based on his obsession with the pop culture of decades past. Whoever is first to solve them will inherit his vast fortune—and control of the OASIS itself.

Wade, but all the main characters are great.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
This book definitely made me feel a whole range of emotions. There were depressing moments and moments of pure joy.
Any additional comments?
I'm very thankful to Audible for putting together such an amazing audio book. This was one of the best credits I've ever spent!
