I loved listening to The Secret Life of Bees audiobook. The narration of the story had me captivated with the character Lily. I enjoyed the descriptions and details within the story. I was transported to the time and place. I heard the bees and smelled the jasmine.

Aloha Quilt took me on a mental vacation

This might be one of my favorite books in the Elm Creek series. I listen while I drive. It relaxes me and prevents road rage. LOL
When she was describing Zip Lining over the Hawaiian landscape I found myself on a tall bridge and getting nervous. My mind was in the story. And now I have a desire to make a Hawaiian style quilt. And I hope to visit one day. I really enjoyed this book.

I've enjoyed the series. This is a good Christmas/New Year's story that fills in some gaps about Silvia's past. There are also some lessons on family that would be good for many people to learn from. The narrator does a great job.
