The fact that Halberstam, a world renown American historian, put as much effort into chronicling an era of the NBA as he did with wars and presidential administrations makes this a must read for any sports fan, even if basketball isn't your thing.

What other book might you compare We Don't Need Roads to and why?

Street Gang by Michael Davis is a similar book as both examine ALL aspects of the creation of modern touchstones of popular culture.

Would you consider the audio edition of Betrayal: The Crisis in the Catholic Church to be better than the print version?

As I have never read the print version, I am unable to sufficiently answer.

What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?

It was pure reportage. Though a mixture of reporting on the subject and a background on the process behind the reporting, a la All The President's Men, may have offered a different perspective on the story, the fundamental documentation of the sins of the Catholic Church regarding sexual abuse by priests, specifically Cardinal Law of Boston, was jaw dropping and disheartening.

Any additional comments?

This was a real page turner but, without introducing the reporters into the story as many journalistic tomes do, the narrative was too provincial. This happened nationwide, for that matter, throughout most of the Cold War era termed "First World," but it only briefly touched on stories outside the archdiocese of Boston.

Where does Truth rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

As narrated by the author, the performance is top notch. The book and its narrative, however, if handled as deftly as Woodward and Bernstein handled their experience, could have become a landmark piece of journalism. Instead, its full of finger pointing and self-mythologizing.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I could have listened to it in one sitting but divided it into two.

Any additional comments?

See the movie instead, there's still some bias there but objectivity wins out.
