As usual, Suzanne Brockmann has another fabulous story for her readers. I’ve loved SEAL Team 10 for years and the new stories are just as great at the first ones!

Terrible new narrator!

The new narrator is terrible! She mispronounces a ton of words, isn’t able to do an English accent in any emotion other than snooty, and can’t change her voice enough to do men’s voices well at all. Please return to the original narrator!! I’m begging you! This new one kinda ruined the story with her lack of vocal ability and mispronunciation.

The story itself is a great one and definitely up to Kate Carlisle’s best standards!

Great story! Realistic about life as a non-Caucasian. Bad narration.

Great story! No ignoring the realities of life as a non-Caucasian, but also didn’t exaggerate the issue. The Narrator was terrible, she had a wonky cadence and couldn’t keep the different character voices attached to the same character the whole way through the book. That made keeping who said what straight very hard.

They put the Prologue last again!

The editors messed up again. For the second book in a row, they put the prologue after the last chapter instead of before the first chapter. Are the editors really that asleep while doing their jobs?

Prologue in the wrong location.

The prologue was placed in an epilogue’s location. Having it in the correct place would provide the information that would make the first chapters better. The incorrect placement makes you feel like there’s something missing. The rest of the books in the series don’t have that feeling. I found it odd until I discovered the misplaced prologue.

Simon Prebble is no Tony Britton

Love the author, love the story, but it’s been done by a much better narrator in Tony Britton. Audible has the Tony Britton versions available to Audible listeners in other countries, why not have them available to their US based customers?

Great story as usual from Dick Francis, but Simon Prebble isn’t nearly as good a narrator as Tony Britton.

Simon Prebble is just not in the same league as Tony Britton as a narrator. It’s almost a crime that the Tony Britton recordings of Dick Francis’s novels aren’t available for downloading. Someone really needs to put pressure on Chivers to release them. I grew up listening to Tony Britton reading these stories and Simon Prebble just doesn’t do them anywhere nearly as well.

Poor choice of narrator

The narrator sounds like she’s about 12 years old which is really weird for a romance novel. Also, she doesn’t enunciate her words all that well.

Terrible narrator!!

This story has the worst narrator I’ve ever heard. Also, narrators, including this one, should really know how to properly pronounce the words that they are reading. The most difficult word in romance novels seems to be feral as it’s the one word that is most commonly misspoken.

Bad narrator and editing, good story

The narrator didn’t vary her voice for the different characters so it was hard to keep track of the conversations. The editing had inconsistent pauses at chapter breaks as well as a repeat of lines. The story itself was good though.
