great mythology terribly mispronounced words
Revisado: 09-13-21
honestly korean mythology is very interesting but it is almost unbearable how he mispronounced everything that was korean. they should have hired someone who knew how to pronounce everything correctly or he should have coached himself how to pronounce everything.

Historia
Neil Gaiman has long been inspired by ancient mythology in creating the fantastical realms of his fiction. Now he turns his attention back to the source, presenting a bravura rendition of the great northern tales. In Norse Mythology, Gaiman fashions primeval stories into a novelistic arc that begins with the genesis of the legendary nine worlds; delves into the exploits of the deities, dwarves, and giants; and culminates in Ragnarok, the twilight of the gods and the rebirth of a new time and people.

The Gods are crazy
Revisado: 03-16-19
My introduction to this book was due to the ever famous Marvel Movies that sparked my interest in Norse Mythology. I wanted to understand more about the world that Loki, Thor, and other Asgardians came from and I was not disappointed. The different stories; in chronological order which is rare from the mythology I have read, lead to many different insights on the personalities of the Gods that the Marvel Universes does not give justice. The coldness of Loki, the cruelty of Odin, the intelligence of Thor; all of this was exposed beautifully in the stories that Gaiman compiled for us to read. The book was thoughtfully put together and kept my interest the entire time I was reading. I highly recommend this to anyone that has an interest in Norse Mythology.

Historia
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

A great shake in reality
Revisado: 03-16-19
The book is a figurative punch to the face with how honest it is about how people avoid problems. The advice in the book is easy to understand and never makes you feel wrong about the fact that you do things a certain way because it is trying to help you understand why you think the way you do and how/why changing that process is good with anecdotal and factual evidence. If you are looking for a book to help understand how to change your life I highly recommend this book as it shed's a new perspective on the term 'self-help.'

Historia
Zack Lightman has never much cared for reality. He vastly prefers the countless science-fiction movies, books, and videogames he's spent his life consuming. And too often, he catches himself wishing that some fantastic, impossible, world-altering event could arrive to whisk him off on a grand spacefaring adventure.

A Gamer's Dream and Nightmare
Revisado: 03-16-19
I was introduced to this novel after I had read Cline's first novel "Ready Player One" and I was not disappointed. The book was well written; my only complaint was that I felt it could go more in-depth about the results at the end, and flowed nicely. The narration was clear which was nice. The overall story was engaging and I relatable for someone like myself, I am a gamer just like Zach. Cline touched on serious subjects with a delicate but firm touch as he did not skirt around the issues but wrote about them with clarity that many people do not have on those subjects. (apologies for the vagueness but I do not wish to give spoilers.) The whole situation that Zach went through made me want to join but at the same time think about one of my games that I play coming to life and how I would not be as enthusiastic as Zach was about the situation.
All in all, I highly recommend this book for those wanting a novel that is fun but engaging.

Bill Bryson has been an enormously popular author both for his travel books and for his books on the English language. Now, this beloved comic genius turns his attention to science. Although he doesn't know anything about the subject (at first), he is eager to learn, and takes information that he gets from the world's leading experts and explains it to us in a way that makes it exciting and relevant.

A Wonderful Overview
Revisado: 03-16-19
I was hesitant to start this book for one simple reason it spanned multiple disciplines that I know nothing of or only have little knowledge. I was however pleasantly surprised with how easy the novel was to understand. The Narrator was easy to understand and spoke clearly and at a pace that was easy to listen to whether I was in my car driving or just listening to at home. The context of the book while ranging from literally the beginning of the universe to the creation of man the flow made sense, and it was clear that the structure was thought out with careful precision. My favorite thing about it is that I could stop listening to it for days or weeks and it was easy to pick back up and remember where the book last left off. I credit this to the fact that there was no "fluff" in the book that was distracting from the what Bill Bryson was trying to convey.
I highly recommend this book for people who want to know more about the universe we live in and how we came to be humans.

Historia
Mohenjo-daro was the largest city of the Indus Valley civilization, one of the most advanced civilizations ever to have existed, and the most ancient prehistoric urban site on the Indian subcontinent. It was a metropolis of great cultural, economic, and political importance that dates from the beginning of the 3rd millennium BCE. Although it flourished between approximately 2500 and 1500 BCE, the city had longer-lasting influences on the urbanization of the Indian subcontinent for centuries after its abandonment.

short but knowledgeable

While it is not the longest audio book out there it covers a vast amount of knowledge with facts that give you an unbiased history of one of the greatest civilizations in the Indus Valley. the speaker also had a pleasant voice to listen to as well.
