Historia
The house was like something out of a Jane Austen novel, but the truth of what lay in the shadows was more terrifying than any fictional imagining. Shane Dunphy recalls the experience of his darkest nightmares: a young girl describing missing children as playthings at house parties, but no one was listening; a malevolent, threatening presence looming in the residence they called the Bad Place, and Shane was forced to flee. And now, 20 years later, a mother pleads with him to find her son who vanished at age five.

Such a sad tale with twists and turns galore!
Revisado: 11-20-20
I am a huge Shane fan, I've read all his books and last audible and this recent addition did not disappoint! As an Irish woman, it saddens me to know our history is steeped in such horrific abuse of the most venerable in our nation. Shane shines a bright light on this very problem. A nice history lesson "between the margins" to booth. Hurry up with the next book!

An unexpectedly great listen!
Revisado: 01-11-20
An unexpected funny, sad, heartfelt story that I am glad I stumbled upon. The narrator's voice was very easy to listen to and made it feel like you were sat listening to a friend tell you her story. Highly recommend this to others.
