Historia
By the end of on average day in the early 21st century, human beings searching the Internet will amass eight trillion gigabytes of data. This staggering amount of information - unprecedented in history - can tell us a great deal about who we are - the fears, desires, and behaviors that drive us, and the conscious and unconscious decisions we make. From the profound to the mundane, we can gain astonishing knowledge about the human psyche that less than 20 years ago seemed unfathomable.

great book to understand ourselves with big data
Revisado: 03-08-20
Very well written and readable and makes a good case of why what we do tells more about us than what we say, and now we have the data science and tools to make sense of it. I also liked the distinction between where it works and where it could or should not be applied, and appropriate ways to combine insights from 'big' and 'small' data. I only listen to audiobooks while running, and this made me want to go back out again.

Historia
Utopia for Realists is one of those rare books that takes you by surprise and challenges what you think can happen. From a Canadian city that once completely eradicated poverty to Richard Nixon's near implementation of a basic income for millions of Americans, Bregman takes us on a journey through history and beyond the traditional left-right divides as he champions ideas whose time has come.
