Historia
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.

These stories are ridiculously silly and made me
laugh out loud. No complicated storylines…just good fun.

Historia
Phoenix "Nix" Knight thought pulling his club out of the illegal shit his pops got them into was difficult. Until he meets Kadence. Kadence Turner has no business lusting over a student's father, especially the president of the Knights Rebels MC. Nix is crass, obnoxious, and dangerously sexy, and for some reason, Kadence can't seem to hate him for it. The bossy biker breaks down her defenses, but unlike the old Kadence, the woman she is today won't give in without a fight. The tension is undeniable, the attraction fierce.

I really don’t mind a dominant male lead but Nix is more controlling a**hole than dominant man. I’m not going to be able to stand to finish this one. I’m glad I got it as part of the romance package and didn’t waste a credit.

Historia
Zak George is a new type of dog trainer. His fresh approach puts a strong emphasis on the relationship with the individual dog - informed by breed-specific traits - allowing people to treat the root cause of behavior issues rather than the symptoms and teach their dogs faster without the use of punishments or stress. For the first time, George has distilled all the information from his hundreds of videos into one master guide.

Not for experienced dog owners
Revisado: 02-14-18
I was expecting a book about training. This book is extremely basic dog information. It covers things like picking a puppy, vaccinations, tail docking, etc. Perhaps it gets to the training in the later part of the book but I listened to the first few chapters (there are only 11 chapter I think) before giving up.
This would be good for someone who has never had a dog.

I remember enjoying the first two in this series
Revisado: 08-28-15
I found myself wondering I was listening to a children's book. Sometimes the narrative is really below even a young adult level (which I typically don't mind). There is something about this that makes me feel like a second grade teacher is reading to me. I've been struggling to get through the first few hours and I think I'm going to take advantage of the return policy on this one.
I remember REALLY liking the first book in this series. The potential is there but it just falls short of the mark.

Terrible....just terrible
Revisado: 07-03-15
Let's start with the positive: The narration is good. It isn't the narrator's fault that the story is so bad. However, that the ONLY positive thing I can say. I almost never fail to finish a book, but I don't think i can survive this one. I generally enjoy books from the more butt-kicking side of the paranormal genre, but I also enjoy romance novels from time to time as long as there's a good story. The premise of this isn't bad but the execution is just TOO much. There is absolutely zero character development. Bella just falls out of a window into the arms of a demon and is pretty much instantaneously in love. I was so bored with the story that I kept zoning out as I listened and didn't even care to rewind to catch up.
I bought this one a 2 for 1 credit special so I really hope the other book is better so I don't have to feel that I completely wasted my credit.

Some things are so worth waiting for. Like the moment when Jessica Ward "accidentally" bumps into Bobby Ray Smith and shows him just how far she's come since high school. Back then, Jess's gangly limbs and bruised heart turned to jelly any time Smitty's "all the better to ravish you with" body came near her. So, some things haven't changed. Except now Jess is a success on her own terms. And she can enjoy a romp - or 20 -with a big, bad wolf and walk away. Easy.

Whatever problems were previously experienced with the narration being too fast must have been fixed. The narration speed was fine (the same cadence Johanna Parker aka Charlotte Kane used in the Sookie Stackhouse books).

Historia
Lauren is downtown Chicago's youngest elite realtor. She's also a witch. She must be - the fetching spell for Witches' Chat isn't supposed to make mistakes. So says the woman who coded the spell, at least. The tall, dark, and handsome guy sent to assess her is a witch too (and no, that doesn't end the way you might think). What he finds in Lauren will change lives, mess with a perfectly good career, and require lots of ice cream therapy.

Not completely horrible but...
Revisado: 10-27-13
This book is not the typical light paranormal fantasy I was expecting. I'm about an hour and half in and I can't wait for it to be over. I'm going to increase the narration speed in order to finish it more quickly. I will finish it only because I got this book in a 3 for 2 sale back in the summer and I don't think I can return it for a credit. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the other 2 books I got during that sale so it isn't a total loss.
If you are looking for something light and fun I suggest anything by Molly Harper.

Thriller scribe Sophie Katz is as hard-boiled as a woman who drinks Grande Caramel Brownie Frappuccionos can be. So Sophie knows it's not paranoia, or post-divorce, living-alone-again jitters, when she becomes convinced that a crazed reader is sneaking into her apartment to reenact scenes from her books. The police, however, can't tell a good plot from an unmarked grave.

I really enjoyed this book and got engaged in trying to figure out the mystery. I was surprised by who the villain ended up being.
The narration for some of the characters was a bit strange. Deena really sounds like a man, but I got used to it after a few chapters.
The only really negative thing is that I found the chapter transitions to be very disruptive. It would have been better to not have music at each new chapter.

Number-one New York Times best-selling author Charlaine Harris has won numerous awards for her Sookie Stackhouse Southern Vampire series, which has been adapted into the hit HBO show True Blood. Major disappointment
Revisado: 05-15-13
I'm not upset about who Sookie ended up with. This book just plain sucks. The only thing I can think of is that Ms. Harris wasn't really interested in this book for whatever reason. It would have been better to have left it unfinished that to leave this final impression. There are unnecessary details that only served to fill pages without adding to the story and who the heck cares about new waitresses at Merlotte's who don't really have a part in the story? I finished this only because I've read the entire series and I especially enjoyed the earlier books.
I read one review that speculated that perhaps a ghost writer composed this novel and after listening I have to agree that that possibility seems rather likely. This just doesn't read like the other books.
