you've made it to book 8, congratulations! though for the person checking out the newest release to see what people are saying i, with a skip in my step and a song in my heart will share my thoughts. no spoilers but at the end of book 7 I simply wasn't willing to wait and thus dove into the deep end of the remaining 400 or so chapters. I rank the DoTF series in the same group as one peice, Naruto, and, much of the eisanhorn, ravanor, and, bequin novels plus other longer modern epics.
jf brink's commitment to his story and fans is amazing. he actually let us know about the early release via the discord so I got to wake up to a late Xmas present. love it! I don't write reviews basically ever be it good or bad. so, with an audible account with 165 books that should speak to the quality of the series that this is my first (albeit gushing) review.
I've read the content of this book twice over. I'll be looking forward to the excellent performance of Mr proczko and what ever refinements Jeff has made during his editing. speaking of the performance and keeping within the same vane every voice both male and female is distinct and enjoyable. so much so that while reading ahead I found my self reading in the voices from this series. if you read these reviews pavi I want to say keep up the good work! you breath life into the characters and you've made great strides yourself from book 1 to book 8.
if you've made it this far then you obviously like reading. enjoy the arc that made me go offline to royal road and then even further to Jeff's actual patrion. cheers to the new year and cheers to another 8 books!

my whole reason for getting this book was to learn more about my own hormone system. my disappointment is without limit. the performance is the single redeeming part of this awful (in my opinion) hack job of a book.
you might enjoy it if you are a trans person/ women as it contains information pertaining to you. as a straight white dude? this book is dog shit and should be avoided. spend your money on Jordan Petersons stuff.
