Historia
Zachary Quinto - best known for his role as the Nimoy-approved Spock in the recent Star Trek reboot and the menacing, power-stealing serial killer, Sylar, in Heroes - brings his well-earned sci-fi credentials and simmering intensity to this audio-exclusive novella from master storyteller John Scalzi. One day, not long from now, it becomes almost impossible to murder anyone - 999 times out of a thousand, anyone who is intentionally killed comes back. How? We don't know.

Good short story

Wish it had more of a twist. Was very straight forward. No surprises. Just a good listen to pass the time.

Too much detail
Revisado: 03-26-24
Good story but truly could have been cut down to 8 hrs if all the explanations about random space items were removed. The explanation did not add anything to the story. Just made it drag on.

Interesting story but..
Revisado: 09-28-23
This is a good story. The only reason I gave it a 3 star is that everything just coincidentally happens to happen. “Hey, found a random factory near a small town in Texas that makes robots. Maybe it has something to do with the destruction going on in NY city”. Just seems like such an out there thought process for characters. “ Hey look an abandoned robot factory and someone happened to leave the blueprints of the entire building. Look, a secret passage to the bottom of the factory just right there on blueprints waiting just for us”. “Hey son, people and animals are turning into monsters, want to build one of these robots together? What else we got to do?”
Happens to happen situations are too common in the book.

Historia
Harry August is on his deathbed. Again. No matter what he does or the decisions he makes, when death comes, Harry always returns to where he began, a child with all the knowledge of a life he has already lived a dozen times before. Nothing ever changes. Until now. As Harry nears the end of his 11th life, a little girl appears at his bedside. "I nearly missed you, Doctor August", she says. "I need to send a message". This is the story of what Harry does next, and what he did before, and how he tries to save a past he cannot change and a future he cannot allow.

Very creative story but a little dragged out
Revisado: 01-25-23
Loved the concept of the story! Loved the main character in the story. That said, it took about half the book to get to any excitement. There was a lot of filler, more than I typically like but the unique idea was enough to keep me listening. I was really hoping for some crazy twist in the book but in the end, it was almost a drama story between friends. Still good ending but definitely not a twist or a wow moment.

The folks in Mike Erikson's small New England town would say he's just your average, everyday guy. And that's exactly how Mike likes it. Sure, the life he's chosen isn't much of a challenge to someone with his unique gifts, but he's content with his quiet and peaceful existence. That is, until an old friend presents him with an irresistible mystery, one that Mike is uniquely qualified to solve.

One of the best books I have listened to! Loved it! Trust me, it’s great. I could not stop. My wife, who hates listening to my books got trapped in a car with me on a long drive and was forced to listen. She ended up finishing the book before me in bed.

Really enjoyed this book. Great story that’s uniquely original. Something from a perspective not from your everyday end of the world surviver but from a view that I have not seen before. Don’t want to say too much.
