Any movie pales at the written work. The emotion, the tensions and twists?! One of the best oratory performances I've come across if not THE best. Worth a credit.

Should be a must read for Christians in general

Should be a must read for Christians in general. If you ever thought sermons were boring (I did not) this will change the way you view them. Not just songs are worship but even more so is the miracle of preaching. We are truly blessed that God gives us pastors and preacher who bring the living word of God to us that we might respond to it for God's praise and glory. Will read again.

Required Reading

If the word Holy is a myserious word you hear in church, it will become a very important and deep word after reading. Helped me undertand what is means for God to be Holy. I always prefer yhe author read his own book, it places emphasis where it belongs, it gives life in contrast to a flat reading by someone else. This audiobook will certainly be heard again by me. (God willing)

Great performance

Mr. Armitage does a great job of giving character and voice in the Strange Case. Fatigue and strain of the characters seems natural and I found myself to recoil at the happenings amplified by his performance. Will listen to again. As for the story, it is short around 3 hours, but it does not take long a listen before why this is a popular classic becomes plain. The language and imagry are so artfully woven. I feel the concern as the characters do for whom they are concerned. So little of the narritive is Dr. Jekyll's words and actions from his perspective and is more the recourse of eye witness and friends account through conversation. It's a breath of fresh air to have a break from that Hollywood brashness that is like drinking pure vineagar. They feel they must lay it all out before me as though I were stupid and could not piece it together myself while getting things wholefully wrong themselves, to instead, read something that causes you to muse and chew on a thought a bit longer than you would.

A good reason to read

Keller does an amazing job laying out the reasons for belief and putting challengea to faith in a different light. Obviously it cannot alter you if you are determined not to believe, but it will certainly challenge and soften some objections and clairify some issues. Have read twice and will read it again.

Loved the bit of history on why we need to talk about this and why it will always be relevant. It is great to hear the author and his emphasis as he reads. The book was excellent and I will listen to it more than a few times I am sure.

This has been a great lecture on glory. Where it comes from, what it is, and how it pertains to us. I will never look at the word glory again because it now means soo much more to me. Thanks for making this work so available.

This work is expansive in nature. It covers and glosses over soo many things that the layman is not likely to encounter in this form. However I as a lay person feel I gained a good deal and a solid defense for the authority of scripture as the author tackles many modern problems the church has been faced with. Even if the jargen is foreign, the issues described are very familiar. I find the arguements presented as very persuasive and logically ordered. Due to the scope I did feel overwhelmed at times but that is nothing a little extra study and a revisit to the text won't fix. I would recomend this to any lay person though. If you feel its a little over your head find a church friend to go through it with you. Afterall the church is not just you and there is good reason for that.
