Good book, However, prejudice shows through a bit
Revisado: 08-22-23
In the first part of the book, he talks about black oppression and the "white" cop putting his knee on the kneck of a black man. Then about 2/3 the way through he talks about worrying where his 14 year old is when not coming home on time and mentions how he may of been in the wrong place at the wrong time and some "White" cop ....... Lastly, near the end after describing the big "Hillbilly" and making a comment about how the hillbilly probably doesn't like him, wants to hurt him and probably needs to get out of the meeting to go to a KKK rally, the author does acknowledge he misjudged this person due to his prejudice and to not judge a book by its cover.
I listen to approx 17 hours per week and nearly 100 books per year, and this is just distracting in the book. The first 2 instances really have no reason to be in the book.
Still rate it high though,

Historia
Years ago, after suffering a humiliatingly large dumb tax, it dawned on me that I have a seemingly unlimited ability to hit unforced errors and sabotage my business and financial success. I suspect you do, too. It turns out that the key to getting rich (and staying that way) is to avoid doing stupid things. I don't need to do more smart things. I just need to make fewer dumb mistakes. The vast majority of our dumb tax is a direct result of emotional, overly optimistic, and poorly thought out decisions.

Awesome Resource with Real World Examples
Revisado: 03-15-21
In this book, Doug gives specific, detailed examples of how as a business owner of several companies, overcomes many barriers. The audio is easy to listen to and keeps you engaged. Doug also shares how his childhood, parents and surroundings shaped who he is.
It is interesting to see how he doesn't sugar coat it. He tells you where he failed and about the times he succeeded.
Great job Doug.
