A little too churchy, but great inspiration otherwise.
Revisado: 07-25-18
I really enjoyed most of this book. The author is very Christian and while I believe important to share as a part of her own journey and story, it was a bit much at times (maybe insight into some of my own bias coming out) as there were chapters that felt so over-religious like I was sitting at church being preached to that I had to skip them. On the whole, it was well thought out and simply shared ideas and tips that can be useful for anyone improve their lives.

Glad I didn't take the time to read this book and listened instead
Revisado: 07-07-17
I liked the basic idea for the book, however, it took a turn part way through that didn't really make sense and then it never really had an ending... it was just finished without wrapping up the character plots. That said, if there was a second book, I probably wouldn't read it/listen to it to find out how it does end. Imagining the writing, I am glad I chose to listen to this book and didn't try to read it, as it was very simple and may have lost me altogether out of boredom.
The narrator is good, but not my favourite for this particular story... some of the voices were a bit more distracting than they were helpful to listen to which made me annoyed with some of the characters, if only due to the voices used.

Historia
Alex thought she had married the man of her dreams: successful, gorgeous, and delighted by her small-town charm. When he walks out six months later, proclaiming to have 'found himself' (with the help of a stunning yoga teacher), she 'finds herself' alone in an unfamiliar city, vengefully drinking through his prized wine collection, living on takeout, and refusing to answer the door. When this fails to cure her broken heart and bruised ego, she reluctantly allows her new friends to intervene.

Great story but horrid narration
Revisado: 04-27-16
I sped up the pace of the reading in order to make up for some of the strange narrational hesitations, which helped but could not overcome all of the breaks, weird pronunciations or down right choppy speech.
The story is light hearted and lovely, I couldn't stop listening as I wanted to know how it ended, just wish I had read this one and not listened to it even though that is not the recommended way to get through a book while driving.
