Historia
Sleep is one of the most important but least understood aspects of our life, wellness, and longevity. Until very recently, science had no answer to the question of why we sleep, or what good it served, or why we suffer such devastating health consequences when we don't sleep. Compared to the other basic drives in life - eating, drinking, and reproducing - the purpose of sleep remained elusive.

Historia
As Dave Barry turns 70 - not happily - he realizes that his dog, Lucy, is dealing with old age far better than he is. She has more friends, fewer worries, and way more fun. So Dave decides to figure out how Lucy manages to stay so happy, to see if he can make his own life happier by doing the things she does (except for drinking from the toilet). He reconnects with old friends and tries to make new ones - turns out to be a struggle, because Lucy likes people a lot more than he does.

Beautiful message, but...
Revisado: 05-29-19
Jokes are definitively one star; performance is one star (except for the last chapter, which is five stars); but the message is FIVE stars. It was worth listening. You will love the last chapter.

Historia
Mexico City is not a new place. Mexico City instead has much in common with cities like London, Delhi or Cairo in the East in that it is an ancient city dating back centuries before the arrival of Colombus in Hispañola. For, while much (including the name) has changed, Mexico City is the mighty Tenochtitlan, capital of the Aztec Empire and the great American metropolis of the Spanish Empire. There has been no break in occupation, and despite much devastation, the city was never fully destroyed.

Can’t understand if you can’t pronounce the native words
Revisado: 04-03-19
I think this is a good and useful book, but for the Spanish speaking listeners, and specially for the ones living in Mexico City, it is a shame that someone not really able to pronounce the native words reads the book. Sometimes, it is imposible to understand what, who or where the author is talking about.

Historia
Chichen Itza was inhabited for hundreds of years and was a very influential center in the later years of Maya civilization. At its height, Chichen Itza may have had over 30,000 inhabitants, and with a spectacular pyramid, enormous ball court, observatory and several temples, the builders of this city exceeded even those at Uxmal in developing the use of columns and exterior relief decoration. Of particular interest at Chichen Itza is the sacred cenote, a sinkhole was a focus for Maya rituals around water.

Need someone that can actually pronounce the Mayan words
Revisado: 04-03-19
This is a good and useful book, but the performance comes short. It is not only really boring to listen to it, but you really need someone that can actually pronounce the Mayan words.

Historia
An historic literary event: the publication of a newly discovered novel, the earliest known work from Harper Lee, the beloved, best-selling author of the Pulitzer Prize-winning classic To Kill a Mockingbird. Originally written in the mid-1950s, Go Set a Watchman was the novel Harper Lee first submitted to her publishers before To Kill a Mockingbird. Assumed to have been lost, the manuscript was discovered in late 2014.

An incredible story!
Revisado: 09-05-15
From Harper Lee one couldn't expect less. I enjoyed it and learned from it. What else could one hope for? And I have to say, Reese Witherspoon doesn't read the book, she PERFORMS it!!! Her voice is maybe too sweet, but her talent is unequaled.
